If you want to enjoy your College life, DDU is certainly not for you. If you are looking forward to only study and get a job, DDU is for you.

The course curriculum is very up to date. It is updated every year. New subjects, relevant topics are also added. Extensive feedback is taken from students as well as industry professionals to design the course. Coming to the Exams, it is very exhausting with 3 sessionals, 1 external and practical exams every semester.

Placements are maybe the only thing good about DDU. We have a final year internship program which often converts to a full time job. Placements in CE, IT, IC, Chemical can go as high as 6-8 LPA whereas in EC it can be as low as 1.8 LPA

DDU organizes only one cultural fest, FELICIFIC every year which is the only escape to daily lectures. It happens in first week of May and lasts upto 5 days. There are various clubs like Shutterbugs, Readers Community, Spandan, DDU Connect which organizes various themed events and competitions every now and then.

The fee structure is very transparent here with no hidden charges. Students need to pay Fees in the first month of the semester. For Grant in Aid students it is INR 3800/- per sem including Exam and Internet Fees. For Self Finance Students it is INR 70,000/- per sem. There is a provision of admission on NRI Seat which costs $ 20,000/- for entire course (4 years)

I have availed MYSY scholarship which is for EWS students. Other than that, there are various scholarships from Alumns and other sources.

Campus Life within the college is not much exciting. But there is a lot more to explore in the nearby areas. You will get a week to celebrate here during the time of Felicific and it is going to be the best week of your entire academic year. Gender Ratio is very near to 1:1. You will get to know people from every corner of Gujarat. Moreover students from J&K, Uttrakhand, Karnataka, Maharashtra also come here to study. Labs here are not in great shape, but has every thing needed. The old sports complex and ground are now made into a new Hospital. New Ground is now under construction. There are various clubs like Readers Community, IEEE, DDU Connect, Shutterbugs and one should look forward to join it.

DDU organizes Alumni meet every year. It is big opportunity for students to meet them and get insight from them. Alumni Network of DDU is also strong on Linkdin and are very helpful.

The Admission takes place on the basis of ACPC Merit List. My Merit rank was 2868. I have secured Grant in Aid Seat for the EC Department. 2 rounds takes place in ACPC. I got admission in very first light. You will need 500-600 rank if you want to get admission in Computer Engineering.

The faculty here is very good. Obviously there are some who do not fall on this good category but they are very learned and experts in their fields. Moreover, it is mandatory for faculties in DDU to have a PhD. Degree. This gives a good amount of exposure to students as they can help the faculties in their research work or do their summer internship with them.
