Remarks

It's the gateway to you becoming what you have always dreamt of: that is, becoming a doctor. And, the college will help you in reaching towards that dream of yours. It has great infrastructure, great faculty and an overall dynamic system!

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is very jam-packed because of the huge syllabus that a medical undergraduate has to study. The course structure was vast in accordance to the syllabus prescribed by MCI. The exams were very frequent, and it was usually hectic on any day of the course.

Placement Experience

5

This is a medical college, and hence we have cent percent placements. Our college, like every other medical college, provides internship of 1 year at the end of the course, where we are sent to a rural area as a doctor.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since it is a SRM college, the fees is higher compared to the government colleges. If you take admission through Government quota, the fees, as of now, is around 4 lacs per annum. Though if you take admission through management quota, the fees is almost triple.

Campus Life

4.5

The labs are in great condition. There are several extra curricular activities conducted throughout the year like parties, workshops, functions etc. The students are from different regions of India, so it's a very diverse group we had there.

Admission

Admission is only via NEET (National Eligibility Entrance Test) which is conducted every year. 65% of the seats are filled by Government quota. The admission process, once you get shortlisted, is very simple and all you have to do is submit your documents and get admission.

Faculty

4

The faculty was helpful and knowledgeable. They were very interactive and helped me get through my time at the college very easily. All the faculties were of course qualified according to the MCI standard.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It deals with patient care and clinical diagnosis along with hands on training the influenced my decision to take up this course. Through ward postings, history taking and case discussion it prepares me well for my PG exams and further future pursuits. Skill based learning should be emphasised more along with small group teaching. Sometimes the close spacing of exams can be very stressful. Difficulty level is appropriate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course is very challenging obviously as we're studying to become doctors. it could've been better by increasing the duration of the course. our first year/ semester instead of it being for 12 months was only of 9-10 months so our portions are being pushed a little. it happened due the scam etc around neet and our course start date was pushed. the course could be made easier by increasing the duration of the course. we have exams every week which does make it easier to keep up with the portions but makes it too stressful for us. maybe instead of keeping exams on monday they could change it to saturday so we can relax and be free on sundays.

The students in their internship will get around 35000 per month excluding their mess fees, they have the option to opt out of the mess. And once they finish their internship they had to do two years bond in places where the colleges allot them and the salary for those two years will be decided by the place the person goes and itll be definitely more than what they get during internship.
