Course Curriculum Overview
TMC is the best medical college in Assam and has a great education system. The college provides the TMC Hospital to work in for students which can be used by students for healthcare as well thus the course curriculum becomes theoretical and practical giving all-round practice. Students are also given many research projects to work upon.
Placement Experience
There is a 1 year internship programme after UG at the TMC Hospital itself. After PG there are postings. Because it is a government college, the placement becomes very easy and is sure. There are rural postings as well as postings in the private sector.
Fee Structure And Facilities
I am completing my 5 year MBBS in TMC by paying Rs.27,075 every year. The total fees for all the years is Rs.1,35,375. This becomes the total fees structure for TMC. This, on a per year basis, is an affordable amount to pay for MBBS.
Campus Life
Being the best medical college in Assam, TMC has activities but focuses more on the academics. Though the college does host various dance programmes and encourage sports participation and encourage the culture.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel at TMC is different for the UG and PG students. The rooms are both single and sharing type and have nice ambiance. There is separate area for mess and sports room. The monthly fees for the hostel is around Rs.2500.
Admission
I registered myself for the NEET Assam State Counselling through the official portal of Directorate of Medical Education Assam. I got selected according to my scorecard and was allotted seat on visiting the college.
Faculty
All the departments have efficient faculty who are understanding and well-qualified and take initiative in helping students. The faculty is trained and promotes learning with various methods that are interesting.
