Remarks

For me, our college is best.I have spent 5 years in this college and those were my golden memories with friends and teachers. Our college teachers are co-operative and helpful. The behaviour of our principal madam is also very kind for all the students.

Course Curriculum Overview

HS ( Arts) course curriculum is student friendly.Not very tough. Students can able to get good marks if they study properly through out the year. Before the final exam, students have to appear for class tests, unit tests conducted by the college itself.Final exam hel in February month every year.

Placement Experience

Job opportunity is good for talented and meritorious students. Our college does not provide internship.After successfully cleared the courses, students can opt for many Govt and private job opportunities.

College Events

Many events were celebrated during my time in our college.Our college conducts Annual Sports day, Annual prize distribution ceremony,Freshers' Social, National Debating Competition, National Seminar and many more. Students love and enjoy every events celebrated in our college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Admission fees should be paid once in a year during the time of admission. Before the examination, students should pay exam fees. This is a Govt college so fees are not so expensive.It is feasible for students.

Campus Life

Students can show their talents through extracurricular activities. Many indoor and outdoor sports activities are held for the students. Workshops are also organized for the student's benefit. The ratio between girl and boy student in our college is the same.

Hostel Facilities

Our college hostel faciliy is quite good compared to other colleges.Our college hostel has good infrastructure with modern facility.There is a big dining hall for the students.Both veg and non-veg food is served for the students and taste of the food is really good.

Admission

The admission process for H.S(Arts), based on the scores obtained by a student in HSLC examination from a recognized board.This college does not conduct any entrance exam for admission in HS course. Students will get admission depending on the marks in 10th examination.

Faculty

All the faculty members of our college are very hard working and at the same time educated also.There is a friendly relationship between the students and teachers.Our college teachers patience level and love towards us is appreciable.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The institution provides a vast syllabus prescribed according to the courses . I did hons in english so in my field I had to study a vast syllabus ranging from ancient greek and roman literature to modern dramas The English course consists of poems, dramas, novels, novellas and many other. The course or syllabus is varies with different stage of semester or year In the first semester we had study the follows Greek literature and epic Roman literature Early indian literature In the second semester Roman literature Indian literature In the third semester Popular literature British literature American literature ....... The proficiency of students is checked in the exams where in the first sessional the level of questions remain easy Moderate to difficult in the second sessional and increases the level of difficulty with the progression of semesters If I will talk about the pros of the course It gives an insight of to the vastness of the world of literature which helps the students in different fields. It gives an opportunity to study different stories written by different writers from different countries and helps in to learn the culture, language, society, polity and the history of a particular period of literature movement. It also helps the students to think critically and creatively to utilise it in the real life scenarios. There are also some cons of this course It's vastness can sometimes make students burnt out completely due to the vastness of the course and the limited time frame where you have to cover everything from poems, novels with 300 pages to seminars , internships

Teachers should be cut slack to maintain their mental health. They are not provided enough rest. The exam schedule are not at all managed properly. It is quite hectic and students fail to cope up with it

I applied in a total of 3 colleges for the same course and I got selected in all of them but as Kakojan College is nearby our house so I took the admission there. At our college, in my course, the admission is based completely on merit basis. The subject percentage of HS is counted to publish the merit list. And yes quota is available.
