Paramjeet Singh's Review On SCD Government College, Ludhiana

The college infrastructure was very good there were many good halls and auditorium in the college there was one footbal ground also in the college.

I passed 10+2 and did not appear for any entrance examination as I have taken admission in BA and for BA there is no entrance test applicable.

The course curriculum was based upon Punjab University i have taken subjects of English, Punjabi, History, Political Science, Elective Punjabi. The professors were dedicated and really helpful.

There were no companies at that time for internship. As the course chosen by me was completely academic and there was no industry related to the course.

There were no placement opportunities provided by the college. The students have to pass the degree course and thereafter do some technical course to get a good job in the open market.

There were various cultural events and other extra curricular activities organized by the college on regular basis. They were being organized by the special team working for this only.

The fee structure was reasonable and not too much burden on the pockets of parents as the college was a govt college the fee structure was as per the norms of govt of Punjab.

There was facility of scholarship scheme for the economically challenged people. These schemes were from the Govt. of Punjab and Govt. of India. There were many students who want to study but do not have finance for the same.

College life was awesome with SD Govt. College, Ludhiana. That days were cool, fun filled, joyful, masti magic missing those days. Campus life is a rememberable moments of every student in their life time. It is filled with various extra curricular activities, sports, cultural activities, games, debates etc. There is opportunity to learn, to make friends and remember it for whole life.

The hostel facility and mess were good I suppose. As I never stayed in the hostel but as per the opinion of my colleagues who were staying in Hostel it was good.

There were many seniors at that time who do ragging. There was less chances that senior interact with juniors to make them learn new things or help them.

Exam structure was based upon theory examination only. There was no practical attached as the course was BA the examinations were held on quarterly basis and at the end of year there was final examination.

The faculty of the college was dedicated and helpful they really help students to understand subjects and make them study hard. Although it completely depend upon students whether they want to study seriously or not.
