National Engineering college, Kovilpatti

I am pursuing my final year of Computer science and engineering In National Engineering college, kovilpatti, Tamilnadu. The one line explanation for my college would be “let’s grow together in an effective atmosphere”. Because in our college we have the well versed syllabus to train the students to their best level for contributing themselves with real time problems and solutions in industries. I gained a lot of things here especially, knowledge, manners, attitude, friendship, love etc,. If you are about to have a happy college life plus academic excellence just come here and get that gifted life.

The courses provided on Bachelors of Engineering would be Mechanical, Computer science, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and communication, Information technology and Civil. All the B.E courses are having same interval learning that is of 4 years. The curriculum syllabus was designed every four year newly based on the current engineering trends. Exams will be conducted in a monthly basis to evaluate the internal marks and then every 6 months there will be a semester exam to monitor student's status in academic and laboratory basis.

The placement cell we have is one of the best. Every year they strive and work towards 100% placement. More than 40 companies visited our campus for on campus drive, also we attend more of campus drives too to increase the chance of getting a job. The companies particularly ZOHO corp, VURAM, ATOS SYNTEL, ASTRAZENECA, VVDN etc, gave us good opportunity to lead a good carrier. There are two companies incorporated inside our college of which SUMTWO is providing Intern for students from 6th semester itself with a stipend of Rs.8000 per month from 8th semester.

The exact fee structure is completely designed by Anna university, chennai for both the management and counselling students. As here they provide only B.E and M.E programs the fee would be 3.6 lakhs for a B.E course enclosing transportation fee for a time period of 4 years. The hostel and mess fee are separately managed by the institution.

The computer labs were provided separately for each department, not that every department is availed by a specific labs for their research works. We do have some club and approved associations to boost up the students in extracurricular activities too.

The hostel and food will round up about Rs.35000 per year. The rooms will be shareable one for both first year and second year students but after that individual room will e provided. But for the cost payed every infrastructure in perfectly maintained for students usage. The hostel food would be more healthy and varieties were there on each day.

The alumni chamber in our college is always active too collaborate with the alumni. The contribution they made is so high to improve the infrastructure and placements also in introducing new technologies in studying ways.

The admission is based on 12 th cutoff marks for mathematics, physics and chemistry in Higher secondary education examination conducted by directorate of government examinations, Tamilnadu. The highest cutoff you need to get admission in this college would be 180 out off 200. The will be no entrance exams and donations for counselling students, but for management students, they need an extra recommendation from any higher officials even donations are asked if the student’s background is strong enough to donate.

Faculties were from industrial and training side for more than 5 year experience. They do allow us to communicate with them on our doubts in subjects anytime. The major impact of them led us make more innovative things apart from academic studies. The faculties won't let us down in exams too, they'll make us more comfortable with studies and extra curricular activities to achieve more highs.
