SLCET- college review

The college management does a lot of infrastructure improvement in college to make ourselves comfortable with everything. The only request I would post would be please arrange transport facilities for long-distance students to reach their home rather than staying at the hostel.

The courses and subjects allocated to us were new and interesting for me. They include Thermodynamics, Engineering Graphics, etc. We do have elective courses to choose on our own interest. The research papers and projects were a compulsory one for each student which can be done by forming groups.

The placement was nearly 100 percent coverage in our college by the placement drives they conduct through top companies and industries. We can have an intern too in companies with an affordable stipend during the 7th semester and 8th semester

The fee structure is under government fixed one for all courses. If we join through management we need to give some donation on a very small level. The semester exam fee has to be paid before the exam. The other hostel and transport fee can be paid early for 2 semesters on a whole.

The laboratory facilities made clear for each department. Each department does have a smart classroom and seminar halls to present their ideas and projects. Our department has separate labs for welding, carpentry, etc.

I got low marks in HSC exams so I was not able to apply for the counselling process. I did approach the college management to avail of a seat. There I gave my mark details in the application form, the management gives the option to chose mechanical and Electrical Engineering. I chose Mechanical engineering, There was no other interview process after that.

The subject is more interesting and absorbable only in the lecturer makes it easy for us. In that way, we have good professors to take over our interests and learning ability. They help us a lot in project works and research pattern reviews.
