Distance learning in PG course in marketing

It is government owned institute which believes in imparting education for all. Recognized by UGC and with an eligible faculty base, this institute is undoubtedly suitable for those who wish to pursue graduation, post graduation and PhD programme in distance education.

Since it is distance course it is feasible to work while studying or look for a suitable job once you are qualified. There are no placement fairs organised by the institution. However the alumnus base can be connected to for help, references etc. The faculties are helpful as well while guiding through jobs.

The fees structure is very feasible if you are pursuing post graduation course from an affiliated college the fees would typically be between Rs.20000-30000, which would include registration fees, library fees etc.

Scholarships are mainly available for PhD students. Students who apply through UGC NET/CSIR are awarded the same.However other students who are university's top ranks may be awarded scholarships. There is one scholarship which is for single girl child.

I choose Mahatma Gandhi University as it a premier institute situated in Kerala and it is UGC approved for imparting distance education. I did my bachelors in commerce (B.Com) and wanted to pursue my masters in Marketing from a reputed institute while working in marketing division and gaining practical experience simultaneously. I did my M.Com in Marketing from Ettumanoor Education Society, founded in 1995, which is an unaided affiliated college of Mahatma Gandhi University. And the admission process is rather simple. All you have to do is go to their website http://ettumanoorappancollege.edu.in/142-2/ and under the admission tab select the course in which you wish to apply, UG or PG. Thereafter you are required to download the application form and submit all your personal details, qualification details and the course you wish to study.

The head of department of commerce is a highly educated and empower woman Dr. E. Mayarani and so are rest of the faculties. They focus on ground level teaching that is by clearing your basics and the assignments are very relevant to understand the subject more clearly and understand its applied use.
