Women's only college in Nagercoil

The course curriculum is in line with the requirements of a technical course as defined by the UGC and AICTE for a specialised science course. Examinations are held in a semester wise manner that is odd semester and even semester examination are held in a single year of study. In between the end semester examinations evaluations are done through the mid semester tests and the assignments.

In terms of placement rate I can say it is decent and not very impressive. Most of the students search for placement on their own and majority of them get good off campus offers then the on campus ones. Talking about internship one is on his own in terms of the internship as you have to manage the internship by yourself and the college doesn't provides any assistance in this regards.

The fee of the college is very minimum and it is very much affordable and is not like any private colleges. For 3 year B.Sc programme all you need to pay is just around 2, 000 rupees. The affordability of the fee structure makes the college more popular among the students. This puts the pressure of financial burden in education off the shoulder of student.

The state government of Tamil Nadu offers scholarships to the meritorious students, girls student and for the students from reserved and the economically backward classes of society provided that they are the domicile of the state. Apart from the national scholarship portal is also run by the central government to offer scholarship to the student across India. Since the amount of fee is very less the question of education loan is meaningless and approaching the bands for the small amount will not be practical.

Entrance of extra curricular activities events are organised in our college. Cultural activities, dance activities, Independence Day celebrations, the annual sports meet, etc are some of the common events that are organised. In terms of infrastructure our college is good and the labs and the classrooms are very very well equipped.

I took the admission in the college based on the common entrance test of the university that is conducted each year. Apart from the school in the entrance test 10 + 2 percentage are also put into consideration while deciding the merit list for admission. Since I was looking to pursue masters program in physics I opted for the college as it offered quality education in the domain of Science.

Faculty of the college is good. Most of the professor in our college have obtained the Ph.D in their respective domain. They are highly qualified and no the pedagogy that is required to teach the students at the graduate level. Their approach is simple that is to learn the things by understanding or by learning by doing approach and not through the rote learning practice.
