Engineering College In Periyakulam

The course curriculum is as per the norms and guidelines laid down by the UGC and the AICTE for a technical program at bachelor's level in engineering. Exams are conducted in a semester-wise manner. That is in a year two semesters are held namely the odd semester and the even semester exam. Before the end semester examinations evaluations takes place through assignments and mid-term exams.

In terms of placement I can say that our college is ok. Companies do visit campus for placement but not very decent offers are made. Most of our seniors got placement through off campus opportunities. In terms of internship as well one has to make efforts on their own as college doesn't provide any internship opportunities.

The fee structure of the colleges is as per the fee for most of the private engineering college. One has to pay around 4 to 5 lakh for the complete duration of the program. That is the yearly fees stands around 1.25 lacs.

Scholarships are offered by both the state government and the central government to the students. The state government of Tamil Nadu is offering scholarships to the students from economically backward sections and from the reserved category provided that they are the domicile of the state. The central government offers scholarship through the national scholarship portal. Educational loan facility is also available and this can be availed from any of the private and public sector bank.

Extra curricular activities like the sports activities, cultural activities, and other related activities are organised in the college. Event such as the freshers party, annual sports meet, annual fest are also organised. Infrastructure our college is sound. The classroom and the labs are properly equipped.

Admission to the college are done based on the score of JEE Main exam. I sat for the counselling based on the JEE Main score and opted for the college as it was a popular college in my region. However, one can also make an application for the college based on the score of state level engineering entrance exam TNEA. Seperate counseling is conducted for the state engineering entrance exam.

Faculty of our college is very experienced and they have good knowledge of the respective domain. Most of the teachers have obtained Ph.D level education in their respective subjects thus their grasp over the the subjects can't be doubted. The best part is that they are very helpful and are cooperative. There are more than happy to help us even after the class time.
