Life at IET

IET is ranked first among the government colleges for MCA in the whole UP state. We have regular workshops to enhance our skills, it is also great to know that the students from IET are well-respected.

As in any other institute, there are regular classes. We could easily balance them with hands-on lab sessions. Free sessions in between the timetable are a great relief during which the students can do what they desire. Overall I'd say that a student here can manage his/her time pretty well it is rarely stressful.

IET ensures maximum placement of their students for which, we are trained by a excellent set of trainers. Students who find it difficult to communicate find the personality development program very helpful which again is taken by trained professionals. The college offers career guidance to students who wish to pursue higher studies.

No international festivals are spared here at IET every festival is equally celebrated as the other. There is no limit for fun here at IET, there are respective clubs for every activity namely the literary club, sports club, environment club, social activities Club, science and technology club. ENCORE is the most anticipated festival celebrated at IET. Whereas sports enthusiasts wait for SHAURYOTSAVA to happen.

The fee structure is quite affordable as it's under the state government. The course Fee being Rs. 48,000 for the first year and for the following three years it comes around Rs. 38,000. Hostels charge up to Rs. 25,000.

I don't think that IET provides any such scholarships to its students directly, the UP government, however, provides scholarships to students based on certain criteria. Education loans can be availed from any banks if the student is willing to.

There are Clubs for each and every activity, photography, singing, sports to name a few. Based on their particular interests students can join in any of these clubs and could learn about it even better.

The hostels are very safe and give out a home-like vibe. We have elected representatives to whom we could convey issues regarding the hostel. All the hostels are located within the campus which makes the commute easier and the parents feel safe.

IET has a very strong and well-established alumni network and the college recently celebrated their 25th alumni reunion with '92 batch of IET Lucknow. The alumni are very supportive when approached about jobs and related queries.

The candidate is expected to clear the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) and secure a minimum of 50% in their boards, like in any other institute, to get admission into the Institute of Engineering and Technology Sitapur, this UPSEE is a Common Entrance Test by the UPSEE Counselling under the Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow.

Faculties here are very approachable and well-qualified. Some of the teachers here are of over 35 years of experience. Especially when it comes to the first year of B.tech during which you learn all the basics of each department, all the faculties that handled them did complete justice to the subject.
