Unforgettable, Nostalgic

I have always found St Teresa's helping me to grow as a good and useful citizen of india.

I had no entrance examination for the admission. I was admitted on the basis of my plus 2 marks. I decided to go for this college was because this was a college empowering women to reach out for high standards, good quality staff and library was one of the other main criteria that attracted me to this college.

Main subject was Sociology, which had 6 main papers with electives Statistics and History. We also had Hindi/Malayalam and English for language studies, each dealing with various parts of the language such as poetry, drama, novel, and grammar.

I had no college internship as i was an sociology student but we had a project, where we surveyed outskirts of kerala to know there life and there experience of development in a sustained way.

I got my current job that i am working through the placement process. an active placement cell appreciates good companies recruitment camps every year.

Talent's day, onam celebration, union formation, christmas celebration, arts day inaugration, annual day, Teresian week and much more are the colourful functions that make the cultural festivals. there are also international and national seminars organised, awarness camps, etc.

Fee structure was feasible as it is an aided college. We had terminal fees plus exam fees. miscellaneous fees, transportation fee, library fee, etc. Being a latin catholic college we had concession for OBC and SC/ST too.

Scholarship facilities for women of underprivileged categories were provided and every scholarship under Indian Government is also available. There is no loan facility offered.

Being a women's college, i enjoyed my womanhood more in this campus. Sports, cultural events participation mold me as a strong woman and enjoying everyday of college. Made me proud of being a woman.

Hostel facilities were different for both science department and arts department. There were good facilities including full time water, electricity and TV, etc. Mess food was comparably good.

St teresa's is one such college were alumni works are so strong. Every year the alumni network arranges exhibition and awareness programmes. There is a big sale going on every year during the christmas time where every alumni members come together.

We have three-term exams. There was no labs as i was an arts student. Exams were not that hectic but it was still not that easy too. strict evaluation takes the whole experience to another level.

Every permanent faculty teaching hold a Ph.D degree in the topic they were dealing with. A thorough and deep knowledge and a passion for the subject was the mark of the teaching faculty of the college.
