BIET from my views

There are over seven disciplines in the B.Tech department at BIETS, over four specializations in M.Tech and MBA course with a state-of-art infrastructure and curriculum. The staffs are very approachable and well-experienced. My overall experience here so far has been very satisfactory.

The curriculum is old it from the UPSEE board but has no lacking in the teaching, we are training practically as well. We have three exams per semester, internal and external. The regular classes are informative and not hectic at all.

Placements at BIET are remarkable, we are trained enough to attend the interview in our final year. Some of the top visiting companies are TCS, Wipro, Byjus. The average salary is 7 LPA. About 70 to 80 % of the students are placed by the end semester.

We celebrate many events at BIET, organised by the University themselves. Some of the events are Fresher's day party for the newcomers as well as the get-together party for the final year students. All the departments have their own fests regularly.

The fee structure for an year fro B.tech is about Rs. 67,200, which is to be deposited online through internet banking facility. Students loans can be availed for Which the fee can be paid through a Demand draft favoring the registrar.

Scholarship, as such, is not provided by the university, but the state government offers scholarships to students fulfilling certain criteria, the government offers about 50 percentage of the fee that we pay.

We have various extracurricular activities apart from academics. Evert year there is a sports event organized by the university known as "PACE". We have a 400 metes track for running, and basket ball court for girls to play.

Yes, I live in hostel situated inside the campus. Boys and girls have separate hostels, with all essential facilities, we have basket ball courts, tennis ground and a wide space to relax. The food is very hygienic and nutritious.

The alumni network is strong at BIETS, in fact there was a alumni meet about to happen in 2020, the BIETS Alumni Meet. All the seniors inside the college and pass out are very helpful with academics and placement related queries.

As this is a state-owned college, I had to clear UPSEE to get into BIET. Fortunately, I secured 60% in my boards, the minimum is 45% (40% for SC/ST), the higher the rank the more the chances of you getting the discipline of your choice.

Some of the faculty here are from top institutes like IIT and NIT, they are well-experienced and know how to handle a subject very well so that the students grasps it in a easier way. Some of them are strict but for our own good.
