The college conducts various programs such as remedial teaching, faculty improvement, value-added education for students, guidance and counseling committee, etc. So as to boost students and provide them training in every aspect of education.

Course Curriculum Overview

This is a course of 2 years wherein students can opt for a particular specialization in nursing such as medical-surgical nursing, mental health nursing, and OBG nursing, each having a different course of study.

Placement Experience

Placement assistance is provided by the college to the students based on their merit. Also, an internship in their specific specialization is also necessary for the students to complete in the duration of their course.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The course fees for M.Sc can be deemed pretty expensive for this college. Students have to pay Rs 151000 and Rs 150000 respectively for the first and final years of their 2-year education duration. It can't be afforded by everyone easily.

Campus Life

Extracurricular activities are given importance in this college as it's an important part of a college education. Sports such as basketball, volleyball, badminton and also a fitness center are there for the students to make use of.

Admission

A student has to be a minimum of a nursing graduate i.e., must have a B.Sc nursing degree to be considered for admission. Along with that, one year of clinical experience is also needed. Admission is solely based on merit.

Faculty

All the assistant professors and lecturers hold master's degrees in their own area of specialization in nursing and are really helpful to students towards clearing their doubts. They are friendly and approachable.

The best college for study

Course Curriculum Overview:

Obviously this physics course is tough but the influence of the teachers and other staff made us too motivated and the systematic exam schedule helped us to complete our portion before the exams and there is some more time for the revision purpose.. There teaching method are so useful and they treat us so politely and in friendly nature. So its too easy to clear doubt and feel comfortable to ask them and clear anything.. Its so helpful for us to complete our exam nicely...

Life at IITPKD

Remarks:

JEE Rank was the main factor. The facilities like hostel, labs, etc mentioned in the IIT Palakkad website. During the allotment process, one senior girl student of my branch contacted me and cleared all my doubts whether it was small or big, placement details, etc. After the rankings were released, based on the previous years cut-off ranks, I was able to get a fair idea about the colleges I would be able to join among all the IITs, NITs, IIITs. Based on JEE Mains rankings, NIT or IIITs can be chosen. Based on JEE Advance ranking, IIT can be chosen. Also, 2 mock allotment will take place which gives a fair idea of which allotment we will get. These mock allotment will be based on our preferences. We can change them after the mock. Then the actual allotment will start. Once we finalise our preferences and lock them, there will be 7 rounds of allocation. 3 options will be given in each round-Float, Freeze,Slide (details will be clearly mentioned in the website). Once you are allocated a seat in any round, document verification will take place (seat acceptance fee must be paid at this stage).
