IET - From my viewpoint

IET is a very prestigious institute to start our professional career. with guidance from faculties present here, one would never run out of knowledge. Not only for B.tech but, IET has been one among the best colleges for masters such as MCA.

Regular classes at IET are very interactive and fun to learn. One can never feel exhausted by the classes as there are an adequate number of free slots in between the regular classes, which gives us students some "me time". There are lab sessions that parallelly explain what we learnt in theory which is easier to grasp that way.

I have seen IET bringing in a lot of companies both service and product-based for placements ensuring us a maximum placement record. As candidates, we are trained over a period of time in soft skills as well as technically. Students with difficulties in speaking out because of certain complexities are trained well to come out off their shells by trained professionals.

ENCORE, being the main event at the campus is a most wanted festival that happens in the month of March, it is a technical and cultural fest. SHAURYOTSAVA is another equally anticipated event for the sports freaks. Both of these are inter-college fests making it even better as we get to interact with our peers from other colleges in and around Lucknow.

As IET comes under the state government, the fee is quite affordable. its Rs 48,000 and Rs. 38,000 for the first year and the following year respectively excluding the hostel and food charges which might be around Rs 25,000.

The UP government provides scholarships to students fulfilling certain criteria. One could easily avail student loans from banks and send a Demand Draft in the name of the college during fee payment.

Name any activity and there's a club for it in here. for e.g., photography, dramatics, singing and even clubs that help you in building your entrepreneurship. Students join in respective clubs based on their interests.

I have always felt at home in the hostels of IET. There are students representatives to hear out our problems and convey to higher authorities. The hostels being inside the campus is an added advantage. They are equipped with Wi-Fi 24/7.

Alumni of IET is very easy to approach, the network is very strongly established. Recently, they even celebrated their 25th alumni reunion with 1992 batch of IET Lucknow. One could easily approach them with queries regarding their career or higher studies.

A candidate aspiring to get into IET has to secure a minimum of 50% in his/her boards and additionally has to have a decent UPSEE score which is a common entrance test conducted by the government. This exam is conducted by the Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow who also conduct the counselling.

I have never felt any discrepancies with the faculties here as they are very approachable and well-qualified. Most of them are doctorates in their respective fields with over 35 years of teaching experience.
