A learning experience.

No college or hostel is perfect in all sense, but it should be able to nurture you mentally and physically as it is the most important stage of your life and career i have been lucky in this sense and thank my college and hostel to help me be what I am today hostel management has been great, but the college management can do better to improve the faculty quality.

Karnataka CET, Rank non Karnataka 223Being among the top three it was an obvious choice based on the availability of desired course. Also the location of college which is in the heart of the city, made the decision a lot easier.

Course was elaborate and in sync with most of the other universities. First year being the basics and common across all branch. Second year had basic core topics like programming, algorithms, computer organization, data structures mathematics, graph theory, logic designs, unix and digital electronics. Third year had Operating system, microprocessors, networking and databases. Final year had advanced computer architecture, Wireless netowrks, elected for net as elective, project and presentation.The Course has evolved over the time to include some latest technology like artificial intelligence etc.

There was no on campus recruitment for internship, but students applied offline and worked in companies like Yahoo, SAP, Cisco etcStipend is usually 12-18k/month.

We have always had an placement rate of above 90% always with many students getting multiple offers we have seen companies like Goldman Sachs, Cisco, SAP, Microsoft and also TCS, Infosys, CTS, IBM, Accenture etc which take students in bulk.

Every department has its own festival every year, but the College festival is Utsav which is a 3 day event with colleges from across the country participating it includes lot of technical and cultural events along with lot of games and food.

The fees is more or less same across the colleges in Karnataka for the non karnataka students. It is a little on the expensive side around 75000-120000 per annum based on the course.

I am not aware but there are a few scholarships offered by the college student loan from banks are easily available for the college.

We had a mix of students from all part of the country and the world coming from different economical and social background but everyone existed in harmony and interacted with each other. There were hostel fest only for the hostel mates managed by themselves and it went over for 4 weeks full of sport and cultural events and ending with the hostel day with lot of cultural activities and award ceremony.

Hostel facilities is one of the best in the country. There is a new hostel which has twin sharing with almirah, cot and study table for each of the student. There is a main hostel which has 150 single rooms but is given to third and final year students on merit basis. There are two girls hostel and an international hostel too. Seats are often limited as the demand is huge, but the college has lot of PGs around with avg rent of 4000 for triple sharing.

It was always an learning experience these interaction take out the fear of the hierarchy from your minds and let you express freely also the seniors are also your immediate guides for academics and career.

It was a mix, but then a lot depends on how the student feel about it but still mostly it was chilled out.

The faculty had 3 professors and rest lecturers the standard of the faculty was above average but then again as is the case a lot depends on the student.
