Entrance Preview

PGCET - Ranked 237I always had interest in pursuing my career in management studies. The level of confidence and knowledge acquired after the course was remarkable.

Course Curriculum Overview

2

The course was pertaining to management studies I chose to specialize in finance. We had 3 options to choose from. Marketing, HR and Finance. Course curriculum was good.

Internships Opportunities

I did my internship in Axis Bank.Ltd. there was no stipend offered as it was not a study on the banking operations instead on the stock prices and its analysis.

Placement Experience

1

We had 2-3 companies conducting campus interviews. As it was recession time when our batch passed out, we found it a bit difficult to search jobs on our own.

College Events

2

We have a college fest conducted yearly. The name of the event is Utsav and people from.all over the place gather to enjoy the event. We also had department specific events and participated in organizing the event.

Fees and Financial Aid

There were many tie ups with the college i believe. But i never availed any of them. I did not avail any of the scholarships offered by the college.

Campus Life

2

On the whole the college facilities were really good. I enjoyed my stay over there for the 2 years. We had many extra curricular facilities. There were so many sports facilities also.

Alumni/Alumna

We are connected through the alumini group on social networking sites. We even have reunions once in a while to discuss our coollege life all over again.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is good. As it was affiliated to VTU the paers were very well structured with 4 different patterns.

Faculty

2

Faculty in BMS for management studies is very knowledgable and very friendly. They helped us through the course to take right decisions. We had seminars and weekly guest speakers talk to get idea on the corporate front.

Placement Experience:

Placements in the college are good for marketing specialization. Compared to other specializations, from semester 2 itself, students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Deloitte, KPMG, ICICI Bank, and HDFC Bank visit the campus. The highest package this year was 40 LPA, and the average package is around 6.5 LPA. The percentage of students getting placed is 70% for now. After getting the degree, selection in a good company is my plan.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered is moderate and there are limited opportunities for high paying roles compared to top tier colleges. Companies that visit the campus are mostly small to mid sized organizations. The placement cell is very supportive and conduct training sessions such as aptitude tests, mock interviews and soft skills development to prepare students for placements.

Placement Experience:

Placement in my college is decent, wiyh around 90% of students are getting placed. Students usually become eligible for placement in their final year and the college provides internships opportunities before that, which helps in gaining experience. Many companies visit to campus mainly from marketing and sales, along with some roles in HR and operations. The number of offer is good but option for finance and analytic are comparatively limited.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would like to rate the course 7 out of 10. Because as these is a distance learning many difficulties occur. I am doing a MBA in ksou after my graduation in b. Com. As ksou comes under UGT it is more helpful for the job seeker. As per my knowledge the faculty should conduct a more classes may be through online so that the working people can attend the classes from wherever they want. There are many distance learning courses in ksou academic platform but they are not handling in a accuracy. They take a lot of time to announce a results, even to conduct a exams they take a lot of time.
