Course Curriculum Overview
There are three streams besides the learning in the animation studios. They are: History: Theories, Arguments. Drawing: Styles, Studies. Tradition, Language. Computer Practice: Lab, Software, Methods. They run concurrently through all semesters, supplementing the learning in the class room. They bring in artists, writers, film makers and thinkers to interact with the students in their work.
Placement Experience
The institution provides with many opportunities to its students so that they can develop and enhance their skills and be more productive. They are trained by professionals. They also get chances of internship with many professional people.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure of the college fothe course raround 3 lakh 80 thousand which is quiet feasible as per the needs and demand of the course in the growing industry. Hence, it will not be wrong to say that the fees is affordable as per the education and facilities provided by the institution.
Campus Life
The college is as good in its extracurricular activities as in its education. They aim at overall development of the students and hence provide them with various sports activities, public activities to ensure their best development.
Hostel Facilities
Department of Animation Cinema is a large block with three floors of ample studio space and lecture halls. It has state of the art Computers in three large labs besides a workshop for stop motion animation, modular rostrums with digital cameras for classical cel animation. Two well-equipped Computer Labs with industry standard computer work station with latest animation software. A large drawing studio rooms are open during class hours for practice.
Alumni/Alumna
The Alumni of Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute have been successful in making the Institute’s presence felt in every aspect of the world of Indian cinema. Directors, cinematographers, editors, and sound recordists and designers have consistently won prestigious awards nationally and internationally in all major film festivals.
Admission
Named after the legendary film maestro Satyajit Ray, the Institute has emerged as a national center of excellence which offers post-graduate program in Cinematic studies. The admission process consists of the nationally administered Joint Entrance Test (JET), and subsequent rounds of Orientation / Interview. The students are selected on the basis of their JET scores, and performance in the orientation & interviews.
Faculty
The faculty of the college is appointed with the focus in quality education of students. They are well qualified and trained with a great experience. The faculty is very professional. They also encourage students in every possible way and help them when they need.
