The curriculum is a standard curriculum for marine engineering, there are theory as well as practical sessions such as ship visits and swimming sessions. We have a total of eight semesters with both internal and external exams.

Yes, the top twenty-five students get a scholarship from the college to maintain their academic record consistently, the first top nine students get an amount of Rs. 75,000 and the rest get an amount of Rs. 50,000.

The boys and girls ratio is about 6:1. There are some great workshops to improve our skills, they are free as well as paid. There are many sports and cultural activities that happen often in this college, the college gives these activities equal importance as much as they give to academics.

Yes, I stay in a hostel. The rooms are very spacious, big and create a good ambience for studying and relaxing. The food is tasty and nutritious, the halls are clean and with all necessary facilities like the wi-fi and 24/7 supply of electricity and water.

Our alumni and as well as the current seniors are very helpful in academics and career opportunities. They help us develop skills that will be useful in the future. Their network is quite well connected too.

I wrote IMU-CET, an entrance exam exclusive for marine engineering. Also, I score 70% in my boards the minimum is only 60%. After the entrance exam, the merit list is announced, and you are called for counselling. There is a medical approval needed regarding your fitness, which is also done in the college itself.

All faculties have a friendly approach towards us, they are well qualified and have a lot of experience in this particular field. I personally don't have any favourites but a swimming coach is a great person as well as a dedicated teacher.
