NIFT ENTRANCE, i got 261 all india general rank. I opted for this course because of my interest in designing and creative direction of things. I chose NIFT as it is the best college in India by indian government and provides a very good and strong base for designing.
Course Curriculum Overview
It was a complete package which included every necessary aspect of textile designing. We were exposed to all areas of designing with all the areas which industry needs from a professional.
Internships Opportunities
My college internship experience was the perfect way in which I could enter this industry and learn from it. The place had given me immense exposure to work and learn within the boundaries of mass production and yet experiment with designs. Average stipend offered was 7000 rupees.
Placement Experience
There were campus placements in our college and we could also attend placements happening at other centers of NIFT as well. We are also exposed to off campus job opportunities which come in way of our departments.
College Events
Our college celebrated janamashtmi, and garma every year with very enthusiastic support from teachers and students. Our annual college fest "Spectrum" took place in February and we also had regular extra curricular activities happening throughout the year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is expensive for a middle class family. I paid sixty thousand rupees per semester only for tution fees also I had to pay mess fees, hostel fees. On top of which I had to pay for stationary products which I used through out the subjects. It took approximately 8lakh rupees including one scholarship to complete the entire course.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, we had scholarship program every year also subsidy programs for low income group families. We were exposed to all areas of scholarship programs with all the banks who provided us loans which were based on merit and they need us to be a professional.
Campus Life
The best possible campus life. Well equipped labs,play rooms and courts for mostly all sports. We had a full year activity sessions. We were exposed to all areas of designing with all the areas which industry needs from a professional.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumini is a very strength of our college as they connect fresh students to the industry. Our college organises an alumini meet every year so that students can interact and relationship from both ends can become stronger.
Exam Structure
We had submission system every week and had mid term, end term exams for every semester which is a six monthly affair.
Faculty
All the faculties were well experienced in their subjects and were able to deliver and explain us the necessity of different phases of designing. We were exposed to all areas of designing with all the areas which industry needs from a professional.
