Entrance Preview
NIFT entrance exam, I scored AIR 30. I opted NIFT gandhinagar because i have heard a lot this institute from friends and family.
Course Curriculum Overview
It was enriching. We were taught about basics of design, history of art and fashion, pattern making, draping, fashion illustration, surface design, tie-dye, batik, embroidery, stitching, photography, fashion styling, marketing, pattern cutting, portfolio making.
Internships Opportunities
NIFT don't conduct any internship placement but faculties/aluminis help students to get internship with designers/export house/buying house.Stipend totally depends on one's calibre and the company they are interning with. (INR 10, 000 approx)
Placement Experience
Unfortunately campus placements are not so good in terms of package offered by the companies.highest package offered(graduates)- 9 lac per annumlowest pakage offered(graduates)- 1.8 lac per annumMost of students get placed after placements and those who are not campus offers a 2nd round of placements for them.Place
College Events
At NIFT we used to celebrate all sort of celebrations from janamastmi to diwali. For preparations we used to stay back after college hours to decorate college as per theme finalised for that festival.

Quite Expensive for a middle class person to afford it. But college helps with education loan and also provides scholarship to students (low income group) Expenses per semestercollege fee + mess fee = 50, 000+Monthly expenditure (rent + study material) = 10, 000

Yes college do provides scholarship to students belonging to low income group and also helps students with getting education loan.
Campus Life
Labs- Labs are well equipped but don't have AC which makes it difficult to work during hot days.Extracurricular activities- College itself celebrates a lot of festival which one should voluntarily participate in college decorationCompetitions- interested people can participate in inter college events and every year in the month of december NIFT organize a sports meet
Hostel Facilities
I never opted for hostel so do not much about it. But have heard its pretty clean and nice from the girls who used to live in hostel.NIFT Gandhinagar canteen/mess is the best as compared to all centers. They also used to provide tiffins for the students living outside college hostel.
Alumni/Alumna
Cultural at NIFT is pretty cool, seniors help students a lot with assignments, internships and some time in placements too. NIFT gandhinagar organize alumini meet during Garba Festival every year where a official invitation is sent out to all the alumni's to join.
Exam Structure
As per semesters modules exams used to be of 3 kinds - written, lab exam and assignment submission. Written exams was used to be chilled out, one can score good even after studying a day before exam. But assignments and lab exams used very tedious and tiring.
Faculty
I can say NIFT Gandhinagar fashion design stream faculty is the best. They guide and mentor students for their betterment. Faculties even help in getting internships and placement.
