Entrance Preview
There were three examinations, the first was GAT which is the Feneral Ability Test, the second is CAT which is the Creative Ability Test and the last is the Situation Test. I had ranked 11th position in the ST category. I have opted for this college because its one of the best design schools in India and it will help me strive for a bigger goal and achieve my dreams.
Internships Opportunities
The internship experience was very helpful and productive. It surely broadened up my knowledge about the industry. I did not recieve any stipends but I got to keep the assignment works which I had done in the industry.
Placement Experience
We haven't started with placements so I'm not sure on how it will be. We will be having our placements in the month of April.
College Events
We usually have three events in college. The first would be Spectrum, a two days cultural events happening in all the centres. The second is the graduation fashion shows and displays. The third is Converge which is an inter college competition among the NIFT centers.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Very expensive. The fee structures increases yearly by 10%. Each semester will cost approx. 60000 to 70000. This is the only drawback about our college that everyone are finding difficult with and that would be paying the fees.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are schlorships fiven by the college to the students but the criteria for applying the schlorship forms is very strict. Hence very few people are getting the scholarships.
Campus Life
NIFT is probably the only college that one can have the experience of diversity in all aspects. Though the gender ratio is not even, it does not make any difference.
Exam Structure
Its quite hectic since our assignments would be piled up before the exams and the exam structure is not bad regarding the fact that our daily assignments are eqally important as the exams.
Faculty
The faculty were supportive and helpful in all fields. They have helped me since i had started my course and I do not any anything against them apart from the fact that they are wonderful at their jobs.
