Remarks

CBIT is a brand and it has been a tremendous phase of my life. The management was understanding and farseeing who never compromised on discipline, which set the tone for our future endeavours. I would recommend the college as a best place for being groomed.I would like to go there again myself.

Entrance Preview

ICET - Integrated Common Entrance TestI did my BCA and was unsure to take a masters in Computer applications due to various factors including uncertainity that plagued BCA.I went on to take the ICET exam and did my MBA.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

MBA - the course curriculum is set by Osmania University and pretty much a dinosaur in a F1 race. We study text books prescribed which are basics to the best. I feel there is huge need to revamp the whole curriculum and bring it to international standards.

Internships Opportunities

We had to search for internship ourselves as is the norm everywhere. There was no Stipend offered. We as students had to shell out our money to complete the projects assigned and many times the quality of these was not up to the mark as the external guides took least interest in these activities.

Placement Experience

2.5

For MBA there are hardly any placements, but our faculty tried their best and secured the arrival of some companies. I could not avail the facility provided as these companies did not fall in my area of interest/Expertise.

College Events

4

CBIT is well known across hyderabad for its cultural events. We had SHRUTHI being conducted every year. The Chairman and co-chairman were picked from different Department heads and the rest of the committee were students. Students play a major role in conducting and organizing these events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure was defined by the University and the college never charged anything extra. The fee was feasible and was not expensive. There is not much to discuss apart from the above.

Fees and Financial Aid

None, No such thing was offered by college nor accepted by me or any other student that i know of. Nothing much to add except to fill in ur 100 characters quota.

Campus Life

5

The campus had exceptional facilities if it was educational or sports. We had play grounds for almost all outdoor/indoor sports that students usually play (Basket ball, Volley Ball, Cricket, Tennis etc).Sports days were conducted and a healthy competition prevailed throughout the departments in that time. Not to mention for Sruthi the competitions (Robotics and debates) were top notch.

Hostel Facilities

4

We did not have a hostel attached to the college. But the mess was a mess (Both Infra facilities and quality of food offered) when we joined in 2002. But subsequently a new mess was constructed and the contractor changes. Thereafter the Infra facilities (Dining Hall) was as good as a 3 start hotel and the quality to quantity ratio of food offered went high. That was the case till we left college in 2004.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors maintained a very cordial relation. Ragging was banned and it was followed in good spirit. Guidance from the alumni and seniors helped in lot many ways than anticipated. In terms of how to set the pattern for study and cracking the Viva Voce to securing a Internship and then a reference to jobs, all these were provided to us.

Exam Structure

Exams and Labs very conducted on a structured basis and there was no stress on the students. The experience of the Faculty helped them to form a routine which did not leave a place for complacency nor stress for students.Attendance was valued very high and exceptions were not encouraged.

Faculty

4.5

All the faculty are very experienced and had a level head. We never had issues in reaching out for doubts or clarifications. Their guidance was practical and meaningful.

Placement Experience:

Placements in the college are good for marketing specialization. Compared to other specializations, from semester 2 itself, students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Deloitte, KPMG, ICICI Bank, and HDFC Bank visit the campus. The highest package this year was 40 LPA, and the average package is around 6.5 LPA. The percentage of students getting placed is 70% for now. After getting the degree, selection in a good company is my plan.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered is moderate and there are limited opportunities for high paying roles compared to top tier colleges. Companies that visit the campus are mostly small to mid sized organizations. The placement cell is very supportive and conduct training sessions such as aptitude tests, mock interviews and soft skills development to prepare students for placements.

Placement Experience:

Placement in my college is decent, wiyh around 90% of students are getting placed. Students usually become eligible for placement in their final year and the college provides internships opportunities before that, which helps in gaining experience. Many companies visit to campus mainly from marketing and sales, along with some roles in HR and operations. The number of offer is good but option for finance and analytic are comparatively limited.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would like to rate the course 7 out of 10. Because as these is a distance learning many difficulties occur. I am doing a MBA in ksou after my graduation in b. Com. As ksou comes under UGT it is more helpful for the job seeker. As per my knowledge the faculty should conduct a more classes may be through online so that the working people can attend the classes from wherever they want. There are many distance learning courses in ksou academic platform but they are not handling in a accuracy. They take a lot of time to announce a results, even to conduct a exams they take a lot of time. The question paper are sometimes difficult and the question will be from out of syllabus which will be difficult to attend. Distance learning course is difficult to manage
