Remarks
Following are some improvements that I would like to suggest- 1) Inclusion of more girls, 2) Bigger sports arena, 3) Sports facilities in all the hostels, 4) Frequent menu changes at the mess, 5) A greater focus on experiential learning.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is hectic. One needs to constantly be at their best to deliver during the exams. The exam structure isn't fixed. It varies between MCQs and descriptive-type questions. I feel that we're being fed much more than we can handle. For example, not much attention was paid to accounting basics for people from non-accounting backgrounds.
Placement Experience
The placement opportunities are quite nice here. Lots of multinational companies visit the campus for recruitment. Within a week, almost 70% of the batch gets placed. The stipend ranges from 35000 rupees to 160000 per month depending on the company.
College Events
We have a lot of events all around the year. Various committees are set up to handle various kinds of events. Each committee has its designated role. The events range from technical, CSR, cultural, guest lectures to management conclaves.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees are quite expensive. As of 2019, the fees for the course are around 19 lakhs. You are supposed to pay the fees in four installments. Each installment is worth around five lakhs. The fees include academic fees and mess and hostel charges. You are required to share a room with at most three people.
Campus Life
The labs are well equipped with projectors, air conditioners, computers, and good connectivity. The gender ratio can be improved a lot though. Currently, it's approximately 70% boys to 30% girls. The people are very tolerant here in terms of diversity.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are decent here. We have constant water and electricity supply. There is a provision for on-demand hot water. The rooms aren't too spacious though. The maintenance is good though. The cleaning is carried out diligently.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes, the seniors are extremely helpful. They often go out of their way to help us. They are always there when we need them. They help us in all aspects ranging from academics, placement process, internship preparation, committee work, etc.
Admission
I got admission by clearing two stages. The SNAP test and the ensuing GD/PI/WAT process. One needs above the 98 percentile in SNAP for the general category to get an interview call. Once you get the call, you need to go through a Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview (PI). Once you clear it, you get shortlisted depending on your score.
Faculty
Quite a nice faculty. They have lots of experience. As with any college, some are exceptional and many are average. Almost all the professors have done their Ph.D. In addition to that, there are a lot of visiting faculties.
