Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is structured and designed in accordance with the guidelines of the Veterinary Council of India and UGC's guidelines and keeps in mind the requirement of the discipline in modern times. Annual system of examination is followed. That is exams are held at the end of each year. In between short tests and partical evaluations are done.

Placement Experience

2.5

As far as placements are concerned the university is good. One can get decent placement in private sector as well as in government sector however through campus drive not everyone gets the desired job. Internship is an integral part of the course and University provides support for that however one is also allowed to manage the internship on their own if they want.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee for most of the colleges affiliated to our university is around 6 to 7 lacs for the entire course duration on an average. However certain colleges have fee ranging upto 10 to 12 lakh. In such cases one can look for financial assistance like a loan or scholarship.

Fees and Financial Aid

The Central Government through its national scholarship portal extend scholarship to the students throughout the country. Similarly the Maharashtra state government also offers scholarship to the students who are domicile of the state. Educational loan facility can be availed from any of the private or public sector bank.

Campus Life

3

Nothing much is on offer in terms of extra- curricular activities for event celebration. However events like Republic Day, Independence Day, the fisheries day etc are celebrated. As far as the infrastructure is concerned the University is sound and follows the guidelines of the Veterinary Council of India.

Admission

I applied to the University based on my NEET score. Since I had decent score in the NEET UG examination I got a seat in the college. After the grant of the seat I was called for completion of the admission formalities in the campus. I opted for this university because it is one of the popular University in the state.

Faculty

3

University has good bunch of professors. Based on my experience I can say that our professors are quite experienced and have in depth knowledge in their respective domain. Their hands on experience in the domain of Veterinary Sciences is highlighted in their teaching methodology.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is for the Bachelors of Veterinary Science. One can opt for Masters in the a chosen field or file for civil services. Many graduates opt for working in clinics or veterinary related companies. The teaching methods could be improved by more innovative methods of teaching rather than using same powerpoints each year. More practical classes should be held. Internal exams are held every 2-3 monthes and the final exams are held during November to December.
