Course Curriculum Overview

The course is 3 years long, including 6 semesters. the course has the basic general concepts and subjects of the commerce field and business laws etc. They also offer a specialisation as B.com Hons in accountancy.

Placement Experience

The college offers internship opportunities to the students for their experience and trainings. The average packages offered to students being placed from the college placements are between 3,00,000 - 4,00,000.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The course fees for the first year is 1970 and for the next 2 years it costs 720 each. This makes it a total expenditure of 3410 for the whole 3 year program.This is a very feasible option available for the students.

Campus Life

The college has adequate lab facilities for the students in science stream, along with sports facilities and many other co-curricular activities and cultural events fro the overall development of the students.

Admission

The college requires the candidate to be a 10+2 pass out with a minimum aggregate of 45% in any relevant stream from a recognised board. The admission is given on the basis of merit scored by the candidate in the 12th class examination.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

It opens up various career paths in accounting, finance, management, and more. Plus, it's a versatile degree that can lead to professional certifications like CA, CS, or MBA.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. The exams were conducted very soon in few semester only giving 3 months for the students to prepare . the professors were good at teaching and somehow used to complete the syllabus

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.
