I can say that I consider my college as one of the best college where we had spent lot of time and learned a lot during our tenure of college. College management was also very good and cooperative.

I passed by Higher Secondary in 1980 and got admission to one of well known institute for engineering study .During this time there were limited quote for engineering admission and depending on your merit you get choice for selection of institute.I am from Ahmedabad however my merit were not good enough to get admission within A'bad and than decided to choose BVM which was under Sardar Patel University .

I studied for four year degree course out of which first year was for basic engineering study and next three years in mechanical engineering stream. Last year we had choice for electing special subject and I choose power plant engineering,I must say course was adequate.

During our time college was not offering internship for four year engineering course and so we have no idea about this.

During our time there were no placement and job opportunity offered thru' college campus so we had to look for the job opportunities on our own efforts however after my graduation I got graduate engineer trainee near by to our college in Vallabh Vidya Nagar with very well known company.

We had annual functions organised by college and also some time convocation functions organised in our college and we were taking part of making necessary arrangement as student to welcome guest and proper preparation for function like this.Sometimes we were bunking also to take a break and return to home in Ahmedabad.

Fee structure was on semester wise and we were also having different fees for exam as well as different department work shop and journal.Fees were in tune of thousand however not as much as it is now but we can say that fees along with hostel expense and living expenses was around Rs.50000 per year so we can say for middle class it was expensive.

I am not aware about loan facility however scholarship was offered for using library and to get books from this place .

Campus life was very good and exciting during our time.Since we were engineering college we had very little female students during our time and we can say ratio of say around 1:100.We had internal sports competition within college and college was having good sports facilities to run this and we were participating in sports activities to have fun.

We were having different kind of hostel divided in old and new and facility wise new hostel was more good compared to old however old hostel was more nearer to college campus.Overall facility wise there were three room partner in one room and common rest

Since we were staying in college we had lot of chance to interact with our seniors who were providing good guidance on study.

We had semester system and also two internal exams out of which one of best marks counted.For term work we had to spent time in college only as we were not allowed to take journal outside college campus as well as engineering drawing which was considered

We were lucky to have good professor and faculty to guide us for our study.Our laboratory and work shop were equipped well and we had to complete all our term work including drawing etc during college hours only so we had to regularly attend workshop to c
