Remarks

I am yet to go for the internship program.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course structure for the first semester includes subjects that cover all four areas of MBA.I.e.HR, marketing, operations, finance. There are also subjects of research methodology that introduce students to the area of research and teach about the research tool and at least one analytical software. The course in the second semester becomes a specialization basis. Along with respective branch core subjects, there is a system of taking up two elective courses of our own will, and also audit courses are provided so that you can gain insights on some other areas other than your specialization. Every semester has mid - sem (internal evaluation) and final semester (external evaluation). The schedule is quite relaxing sometimes while there are times when there are classes and evaluations in practical at a time. Labs are being used for research methods classes and related tests.

Placement Experience

3

The companies visiting the campus for recruitment are large in number which ensures that all the students get the best of opportunity to get into top companies of the time. College does provide internships for 3 months. The internship is all about getting us into the real business world and work with working professionals so that we get practical exposure.

College Events

3.5

Listing the college events - 1. NEEV - third-largest techno-cultural festival which has participants from all across the country 2. Augustus - A part of NEEV that conducts a management competition. 3. Stratomania- an event that hosts talented entrepreneurs and 2- day event with speakers delivering sessions on entrepreneurship and case study competitions. 4. Yashashvi- a management conclave event that mostly focuses on all management level competition and also hosts speakers from top successful companies across industries.

Fee Structure And Facilities

According to my, the fees structure is quite expensive. The mess fees can be regulated as the standard of food in mess is not as per the costs that we pay. The institute fees and hostel fees are still fine but the amount that we pay is enough to expect renovation in space of the college campus which is not met.

Campus Life

3

Extracurricular activities include sports activities, games that are conducted by the sports committees. Games like - table tennis, basketball, cricket, volleyball are very frequent games that are being conducted. CSR activities are also a part of our curriculum that includes the T.E.A.C.H. initiative where all batch students are taken to nearby government schools to teach the kids. There is a committee that encourages such programs and promotedms experiential learning.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The hostel infrastructure is fine keeping in view they are on sharing basis. However, the sharing must be reduced to two in one room in my opinion. And the lift facilities are restricted up to a particular time at night which is not at all acceptable as b-school students do group works, assignments late at night together and committee works happen till late night and hostels have 7 floors so it becomes really difficult to cope with such restrictions.

Admission

The admission to the college was two-fold. First, the college entrance exam was conducted and on the basis of percentile, those securing more than the cutoff were being selected and further screening is done by group exercise, Writing Ability Test, and finally, PI which is the second stage. To get the call for the second stage student has to make it through the first selection stage. I had gone through both stages and my performance was up to the mark according to me. My scores on GE -WAT-PI was above the cutoff to get me admission to college and this way I could convert my call. Pursuing the first semester made me thorough with all the streams in MBA. Since SCMHRD has been excellent with bright students passing out pursuing HR from here, and my inclination towards HR was more I decided on opting for HR from this college.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty for particular subjects are really good. Like faculties for business research methods are good and always endure students are able to align the class teaching with the practical business scenarios. The visiting faculties for certain subjects seem interested in teaching their subject and they are highly experienced and qualified but they conduct marathon classes and in a bit fast pace.

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.
