My college experience

Pretty standard course, the teachers are knowledgeable, but the attendance criterion turns students into zombies that attend college only for attendance and teachers uninterested in teaching. The exam structure consists of 20% internal marks (quizzes, assignments etc.) + 30% mid semester exam marks + 50% end semester exam marks.

The college does not provide any kind of internship, if anything they won't even give you attendance if you're interning somewhere outside, hence you'll be barred from giving exams, this was a personal experience. The placements however are amazing, many service based companies come and take students, also many average, if not amazing product based companies visit the college during placements.

The college has an annual fest called G Quasar, it is pretty amazing, they call great artists in that, it is held at GCET, different movie stars also visit the university for promotion of their movies, they also call MTv for fresher parties.

The fee structure is feasible, but there an asterisk mark over it. Fees is usually 1.6-7 lacs per year but there are hidden charges, every semester they would make you pay for ebooks and that too by standing in a line among 3000 other students, and if you don't pay it on the day they decide, it's a 200 rupees fine each day for delay, so there's that.

The Hostel Infrastructure and Facilities are really good, everything is being provided in the hostel,except water geyser, the only disadvantage is the food there, the food made in the hostel mess is really of very bad quality and taste which is hard to eat, facilities are good but mess is not.

Yes they are good and guide us with the experience the owned all these years. Some of alumni are connected on linkedin and are in touch with student council as well as some of students and faculty. Most of seniors who are placed come to college for their 7th sem so we do talk to them and how they got the job and what all things are necessary for it or how to apply for it.

I gave GEEE, got shortlisted and was invited for an interview. Brought my marksheets and a Demand Draft of first year fees along to be paid at the time of admission. The whole admission drive was held at GCET, where I was offered admission.

Our college has the best faculty members. They helped students very closely. Some of them are from IITs, and a few are B.Tech holders. So all faculty members are very good and helpful. Our courses are very good, and B.Tech in CSE is a very good option.
