Course Curriculum Overview
Sharing my opinion on course curriculum is that it's fine but is now revised for the upcoming batches from this year itself. Being in chemical engineering, it's the most lite branch amongst all. The lectures take place from 8:30-12:30, 5days a week and then labs from 2-4/2-6/4-6 depending on your year, 2/3 days a week and all that depends on what year, branch & subjects you're having.
Placement Experience
Reliance, Unilever etc come in the campus and recruit students and around 4lpa average package is given. Chemical engineering graduates get placements in both core & noncore fields with highest package around 19lpa as per stats of last year.
College Events
Fests in a college are the best platform to shape the extra curricular activities of students. Cultural, technical, sports fest all take place and a committee for all is made that gives you management skills too. Not only this even competitions for drama, art, music also take place.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities are fine, obviously not that good which I have seen my friends in girls hostel get. There's sharing between 2 in boys hostel till second year and no sharing for 3rd & 4th year. Infrastructure of my hostel is quite fine and room is spacious anyways.
Admission
Counselling happens through JOSAA for about a month having 7 rounds after the cutoff is been released for JEE Mains. This is the only way to get into NITs
Faculty
The faculty is qualified, interested to teach a particular course and even interested to give us a deep knowledge about things that may be helpful to us in the future. Almost all the professors have done PhD and our branch has very nice faculties.
