B. Tech civil engineering

Civil engineering at (SSCET) follows semester system and has a duration of 4 years. There course structure is very good and focuses on a lot of research and practicals. The days are generally very hectic and exams too are very tiring.

The Placement and Training Cell has been established at the institute for providing necessary knowledge skills apart from the curriculum to face the Campus recruitment requirements.This Placement Cell also arranges in-plant training during summer and winter holidays with the industries. They also provide with internships and job opportunities. Many firms like Larson and tourbo, Toyota, HCL, velan etc come and recruit the students.

The fee structure of SSCET for civil engineering is around 1 lakh 70 thousand which is quiet feasible as per the needs and demand of the course in the growing industry. Hence, it will not be wrong to say that the fees is affordable as per the education and facilities provided by the institution.

SSCET is very good in its extracurricular activities. They enrich their students and focuses on overall development of the students. They have various sports activities like football, basketball and so on. They also organize cultural functions like fest and fate in which many other institutions take part and students get abundant exposure.

SSCET provides accommodation to students wishing to reside in the hostels. Hostel in the institute is an independent unit in respect to its internal administration under the overall supervision is done by the Principal and the Hostel Management. The hostel is administered by a Warden appointed by the Chairman and he/she will be assisted by the assistant warden.

Application for admission shall be made in the prescribed form. The form can be obtained from the College Office or download from given link. In order to get admission in this institution, the student should have passed class 12 with at least 50 % marks. The students will have to give the entrance exam and based on its results they will be selected for the admission.

The objective of Civil Engineering Department is to disseminate the knowledge of latest technologies in Civil Engineering to the students so that they cater the demand of builders / contractors and construction industry in and around the institution as well as to the needs of the country and abroad. The faculty and ataff is well qualified and trained with a great experience.
