Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The structure and orientation of the course curriculum is crafted keeping in mind specialised need of industry in sync with the need of a bachelor's level program in the respective domain. Semester wise system of examination is followed where by a single year of the program requires us to appear in 2 end semester examinations. Before the end semester examination midterm test and assignments are conducted for performance assessment.

Placement Experience

3

Placement rate of the university is nice. However, most of the student prepare for jobs in the government sector while others explore opportunities outside campus offers on their own. University provides internship on campus however one is allowed to to get the internship done on their own if they want.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees in our University is feasible and not too much hefty. For the entire course duration total fees stands at around Rs 70,000. That is each year around Rupees 17, 000 to 18,000 are required to be submitted at the start of each academic year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Central government offers scholarship to meritorious students and students from reserved categories, socially and educationally backward classes of society, economically weaker section of the society and below poverty line students. Apart from that educational loans are also offered by both the private and public sector banks.

Campus Life

4

Various clubs of the university like the cultural club, the horticulture club, sports club etc provides room for extra-curricular activities. Events like agri-workshop, Foundation Day, Republic Day etc are organised by the University. In terms of infrastructure the university is quite sound.

Admission

For admission to the university I appeared in the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the University. After qualifying the common entrance test and getting my name in the merit list I was granted the admission in the B.Sc programme. After the grant of admission I was called to the campus for procedural formalities. Since it is one of the top Agriculture University in the country I opted for admission in it.

Faculty

4

Professors in our University are highly experienced in the domain of agriculture and allied Sciences. They have vast domain knowledge and in hand experience of doing research analysis in agricultural Sciences. Their approach towards teaching is such that they believe in imparting practical and applicable knowledge to students rather the focusing on giving them and option to memorize things.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was very well structured with both theoretical and Practical exposure. The curriculum is designed in such a way that they are very relevant to real world , this also prepare the students to the real world applications and further academic pursuits. The improvements can be made in the practical part of the courses. There must be regular field visits and utilisation of funds to bring innovation. The internal exam would be after 2 to 2.5 months after the commencement of the semester and practical exams would be immediately after 10 days of the internals. The external or final exams would be after a month of practical exams. There will be enough time to prepare for the exams from the commencement of the semester but there will be no study holidays and gaps between the exams.
