Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is now changed and is more nice than what it was earlier. Exams basically consist of mid sem & end sem with internals be it faculty giving you assignment or taking your class test. For a chemical engineering student core subjects mostly came in 3rd year but for now they will start early.

Placement Experience

Placements occur on campus & many companies arrive in the campus & recruit students. Our college also provides internship in research area with stipend of almost 10k total. The experience of internships is something very different, you learn so much from it.

College Events

Whole college participates in the fests that happen in the college. Technical fest- Mindbend Cultural fest- Sparsh Sports fest- Ignis Inter years, departmental fests also happen in the college with maximum Participation.

Admission

JEE Mains is the only exam through which you enter into the college and the counselling is done by JOSAA. Process takes around a month when finally you get a college.

Faculty

Faculty of our college is very helpful and is qualified to solve problems. The faculty is interested in the course they teach & are well qualified. They give extra problems for increasing the aptitude of solving more problems.

There is no major problem in the curriculum regarding to the course. The curriculum covers almost all major real-world applications. But, the there is so much detailed and compulsive study on techniques that are not even used in today's time.

Placements are good. Students are eligilble for campus placements from 7th semester. The highest package is 2100000 and the lowest is 200000. The median package is 3.5 to 4.5 lakhs per year. From last two years there was 100% placements but usually its 90%. I plan to pursue pg after this degree in either mtech or mba.

Placement Experience:

In our college placement starts from 7th semester and students are eligible from the 7th semester. The highest package is around 21 lakh and avg package is 3.5 to 4 lakhs(companies are tcs , tatvasoft , argusoft , IBM etc.) many students get placement like more than 50 % my simple plan is to get a good job from campus placement and do job after my graduation.

Placements start to comence from 7th sem.It is the eligibility criteria for all students. Companies like Sopan Industries etc have visited the campus for placement purpose. Highest package was of around 4.9lpa and average is around 3.4lpa Most students who got placements were those with an average CGPA of 8.6

From 6 semester students become eligible for campus placement, too much companies are visited to our campus like , L&T , TATA, TCS many others around 150+ companies. Which is the highest placement in our college is that 20 lakhs and average package is that around 5 to 6 lakhs.

Inside SVNIT: A students’s UNFILTERED view

Honestly, i had applied so many NITs but due to my average score in JEE MAINS , i was getting only SVNIT and some Northen east NITs I did not choose other NITs as they are very far apart from my home state. SVNIT -The best for Transportation engineering

I chose SVNIT just because this is one of the best college for transportation engineering. Surat is the best city for seeing the development which is being carried out and a great infrastructure is also available. I had a very good jee mains rank and was getting in every nit and iiits admission in some branches but still i choose this because i had interest in coding and ai.
