It is an autonomous institute whoch comes under Ministry of culture, government of India. It was established in 1989. It is located within the museum premises of National museum, Janpath, New delhi. This is a prime location.
Course Curriculum Overview
MA and P.hd. courses are available. Specializations are history of art, conservation and museology. MA courses are of 2 years duration and P.hd. courses are of 3 years duration.All thed courses are designed in a proper way.
Placement Experience
You can get job of Art conservator after receiving degree from the institute. Other job opportunities in India and abroad are museum director, curator, archivist, educator, exhibition designer. The college helps in getting internships too.
Fee Structure And Facilities
MA feeis about 11000 rupees per annum. P.hd. fee is about 15000 rupees per annum. 22.5% seats in each program are reserved for SC/ST, 29% for OBC, 3% for differently abled candidates. Hostel accomodation is not available at janpath campus.
Campus Life
The labs are properly maintained having all the necessary equipments. Various days like yoga day, national youth day are celebrated. The gender ratio is well balanced. Most of the students are from Delhi and nearby states. People from different religions study here.
Admission
I had cleared an entrance examination and got admission in this college through counselling process. One has to show intermediate certificates and marksheet with required marks to complete the admission process
Faculty
The faculty members are expert in their respective subjects. They are also cooperative and helpful. Counsellings and doubt sessions are held by them from time to time. They also help the students to make their projects.
