Review of NIT NAGALAND

The college is lacking in terms of facilities which was present in colleges with lower cutoffs. Working so hard for JEE and then getting a college like this one demotivates and irritates a lot. Positive things are like the campus is beautiful and a few alumini are good.

For the first year, the course revises all the basics necessary. However I personally feel that the extra curricular activities i.e. BAJA SAE is more important than the course study because it is giving me practical insights into my field. We have a total of 8 semesters.

For Mechanical branch, placements are not very good because of the branch being new to this college. But other fields like CSE, ECE, EEE and EI have good packages. For graduation students there is no stipend.

Flag hoisting ceremonies and cultural programs take place in governmental and non-governmental institutions throughout the country. They spend more than half-a-day in school practicing for march-past, speech, dance, sports, cultural activities and more.

For general category students, the semester fee is rupees to ?26300 and the total hostel fees is ?23300 per semester at the time of admission the total fee including the hostel will be ?49600 and for the subsequent semesters the total fees will be ?41890. For SC/ST, the tuition fees is waived.

There is a scholarship form filled for SC/ST students. Apart from that, students have their state government scholarships. Tuition fees for SC/ST and OBC students are waived. Local students have their state government giving them scholarships.

Yes, extracurricular activities are constantly happening for some or the other event. Labs are spacious with just the basic necessities. The gender ratio is good because of female quota here. There is no racism done here.

Our hostel fees including mess fees is 26000. Hostels for first year boys are new and are in very good condition. The rooms are big enough and have prebuilt cupboards. The room is big enough for accommodation of 2-3 boys.

Alumini network is very good. Our director has very good reach with the rest fo the institutions. Seniors who are academically inclined are helpful and hardworking. Alumini are supportive with our ideas presented for a project.

I got a seat alloted through CSAB allotment round for NIT's and GFTI's. I chose this college over the others because it is an NIT, I wanted the tag of an NITian. I made a mistake while counselling of JOSSA in the option form.

Faculty are good and have commendable knowledge about their subjects. However some of the teachers are really bad and dont know what they themselves are teaching. PHD scholar are really good as they are helpful and also knowledgeable.
