Remarks

The past two years or so have produced perhaps the most rapid changes ever seen in higher education. The “completion agenda” set forth by President Obama and the Lumina Foundation has enabled institutions to focus on the graduation of all students, rather than only those who enter as part of a specific first-time full-time freshman cohort. Concurrently, the introduction of MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) has generated a substantially increased focus on the potential for degree completion through an online environment. These changes have also generated a significant amount of competitive recruiting, marketing and advertising in efforts to enroll mostly non-traditional (older, returning adult) students, the consumers of higher education. With these changes and opportunities come a number of conditions that can facilitate one’s degree completion along with others that might, in fact, impede it. Some of the most significant of these factors affecting these conditions

Course Curriculum Overview

4

It's very practical and focuses a lot on the current corporate scenario. Tons of case studies and practical assignments. Very less time of leisure. The two years course is spread across 6 trimesters and a master thesis. (Has 5 specializations)

Placement Experience

4.5

The college provides great internship opportunities. MNC's like Deloitte, Bosch, HUL frequent the campus for internships and placements. The stipends range from 10k- 70k (2 months). Many of the startups come with internship opportunities as well.

College Events

4.5

There are lots of events took place in college throughout the year. The main technical event of the college is named as "mind bend". It has various technical events. "SPARSH" is the main cultural event if the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

nice educational place in Bangalore. The teachers are well educated and experienced. They are too devoted for students. College Infrastructure and teaching facilities are giving more motivation for student to make better future. The course has been recognized and approved by AICTE, UGC and Ministry of hrD. Ranked as the top 3rd B-School. Superb ambiance for being a management graduate

Fees and Financial Aid

I am not sure about the scholarships available as I have not applied or enquired about any. But I know of friends who have availed a few. They have sports quotas and loan options definitely but I don't have detailed knowledge on the same

Campus Life

5

Being is Christ definitely makes you push your limits. It is mandatry for every kid to be a part of atleast 2 clubs with participation in external fests, live projects and research projects. The college does have a few rules like dress codes and other factors such as compliance with rules known as the Christ culture but it's a great place for fun.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni club is very active. They keep attending talks or conduct corporate interfaces. They keep in touch on linked in and help with internships and placements as well. They are very approachable and they maintain cordial relations with the junior and the college.

Admission

Needed a break from corporate and thought an MBA would enhace my skills. A general entrance test like CAT, MAT or GMAT wqs required (eligible score of 600+), a micro presentation, a Group discussion round and a Personal interview was the admission process.

Faculty

4.5

Now obviously this is exaggerated. I would hope no one defends college with that exact claim. But on to my question. What are your opinions on college? Do you think it's overrated? DO you think it's a nice experience? What? And I BEG of all of you to refrain from the "college is what you make of it" comments. We know that. Anything in life is what you make of it so singling out college as "what you make of it" is kinda silly. Edit: Not to be mean or anything, but can incoming freshman refrain from posting "what they think college is going to be like" here? I don't mind you posting here but there's nothing more annoying than incoming freshman who think they know all and then when they get to college and see how different it is they want to run here and fill the forums with "It's been a week and still made no friends." threads

Placement Experience:

Placements in the college are good for marketing specialization. Compared to other specializations, from semester 2 itself, students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Deloitte, KPMG, ICICI Bank, and HDFC Bank visit the campus. The highest package this year was 40 LPA, and the average package is around 6.5 LPA. The percentage of students getting placed is 70% for now. After getting the degree, selection in a good company is my plan.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered is moderate and there are limited opportunities for high paying roles compared to top tier colleges. Companies that visit the campus are mostly small to mid sized organizations. The placement cell is very supportive and conduct training sessions such as aptitude tests, mock interviews and soft skills development to prepare students for placements.

Placement Experience:

Placement in my college is decent, wiyh around 90% of students are getting placed. Students usually become eligible for placement in their final year and the college provides internships opportunities before that, which helps in gaining experience. Many companies visit to campus mainly from marketing and sales, along with some roles in HR and operations. The number of offer is good but option for finance and analytic are comparatively limited.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would like to rate the course 7 out of 10. Because as these is a distance learning many difficulties occur. I am doing a MBA in ksou after my graduation in b. Com. As ksou comes under UGT it is more helpful for the job seeker. As per my knowledge the faculty should conduct a more classes may be through online so that the working people can attend the classes from wherever they want. There are many distance learning courses in ksou academic platform but they are not handling in a accuracy. They take a lot of time to announce a results, even to conduct a exams they take a lot of time. The question paper are sometimes difficult and the question will be from out of syllabus which will be difficult to attend. Distance learning course is difficult to manage
