Remarks

AIIMS Raipur is good in case of patient load, best faculties, better amenities provided by the institution, well equipped and established labs. But since the college grows in its childhood, it has got some limitations like difficulty in knowing the local dialect, Chattisgarhi.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

AIIMS Raipur follows the curriculum of AIIMS New Delhi with more emphasis on Preatical aspects than theory. Exam pattern is with theory and pratical papers for each subject. There will be short answer, long answer and MCQs in theory. Long answer questions are tricker and with applied concepts.

Placement Experience

5

After MBBS, all will study for PG Entrance. The college provides compulsory rotatory internship of 1 year. The stipend as of now is 22500 Indian rupees. Here they have a 45 days compulsory internship of Rural postings

College Events

3.5

The annual cultural college fest Oriana is celebrated every year in the month of October. Many national workshops are conducted by various departments of the college. Also there are special lectures provided by eminent doctors all over India

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is feasible of 5856 Indian rupees for the entire course. It is feasible as compared to a total of 25000 per annum in State Medical Colleges. In additional to the Course fees a mess fee of 2800Rs is paid monthly for food

Fees and Financial Aid

We are been provided scholarships by ICMR of 11000 RS stipend for research activities. Also Gold Medals are provided to the rank holders in the profeesional exams. For reserved students The Government of India provides scholarship of 10000.

Campus Life

4

There are comparitively more boys than girls. Extra curricular activities like Nrityashala, Euphony, Kurukshetra are made by ARMSU which is The Students Union of AIIMS Raipur. There are no such discriminations on the basis of gender, ethinicity, race, religion and so on as the course is MBBS and we are in a divine profeesion.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel facilities are adjustable and with high standards. In first year the rooms are shared by 3. By the second year, we get single rooms. The bathrooms are very clean. Hostel provides a good atmosphere for studies, Co curricular activities and sports

Alumni/Alumna

The college seniors are very interactive and supportive. Differing from other medical Colleges, AIIMS Raipur is ragging free campus. They will have a strict interaction with us but afterwards they are more cooperative and helpful especially in the time of examinations

Admission

Through AIIMS MBBS Exam. I wanted to choose MBBS Course because I want to serve people with better medical facilities. The admission process is carried away the Examination Authority of AIIMS, New Delhi

Faculty

4.5

Faculties are very much qualified. Every faculties are directly or indirectly related to AIIMS, New Delhi. Many papers and books have been published in the name of faculties. Even the difficult portions are made easy to the students by the faculty. Their knowledge is better understood during Viva voce.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main aspect that influenced me is the externals and clinicals that made by decision to take this course because more than theory is the postings and clinicals which are neccessary to become a good doctor and also helps you to gain confidence. This is not just a curriculum but is a priority academics that prepares a student to save ones life which is far more important than just learning or reading. And yes it prepares us very well through clinicals and postings in addition to theory lectures or exams. As per my view, improvements in posting durations is very important than theory durations due to the priority. And yes teaching methods may get improve if some more fresh cadavers may get introduced in college every year. Exam are held in two phases, 3 terminals and 1 final. 3 terminals are held whole year with 3 to 4 months gap and finals at the end of the semester which is the final exam. Terminals exams are easy and quick whereas finals are tough and time consuming.

Course Curriculum Overview:

If you're getting into MBBS, you have cleared neet and you have a slight idea of what you're getting yourself into. The subjects are tough, especially anatomy, because of the vastness of the subject. But if you're consistent and making lil efforts everyday, it's achievable without hampering the fun part of college life. Here are a few gem of resources that everyone uses for first year. Biochemistry - jambhulkar notes, Vasudevan/ satyanarayan book Lippincott for advanced studies Physiology - Sembulingam and Guyton. I swear by them. It doesn't get any simpler than this. Ganong for in depth studies Anatomy - Johari for exams Vishram Singh for easy to understand language and super simple diagrams Gray's anatomy for in depth understanding. Embryology - vishram Singh Histology - IB Singh Dissection - Cunningham or Mercy Navis There will be 2 terminal exams 1 pre University and then the final University. Don't rely on lectures to prepare you for this. You'll have to teach yoursel
