Kuldip's Review On Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya Engineering College - [BVM], Vallabh Vidyanagar

Our college is very good. Also first engineering college in Gujarat. And also first autonomous college. There is good and highly experienced faculties. And education system is also good. Only negative point is that syllabus is very old. They have to change syllabus as per new technologies.

My branch is electrical engineering. Our exam structure is like below. 2 mid semester exams and 1 final semester exam. Also assignments, project, viva are there. Total marks is 150. Mid exams each have 30 marks. Final semester exam have 70 marks.

College conducts a wide array of placement training which includes, aptittude tests, mock interviews for hr, Tech and other rounds They have a efficient placement cell and also have an Internship cell created recently which claims it will help maximum students get industry exposure.

There are many events like uddan, xitij, volcano etc. Also know how event is technical event. Zest is sports event. So there are many events in our college and all are as interesting as others. I'm satisfied with that.

Our college is half government. So there is government quota and also self finance quota also. For government quota marit list is high so, only high ranking student can get admission in government quota.

Mysy and digital Gujarat is main scholarship scheme in our college. For sebc cast students and sc St students digital Gujarat is there and for general category students mysy is there. Approximately 8 to 12 thousands rupees we get in scholarship.

Extra curricular activities are average in our college not so good and not so bad. Sport activities are quite good there is zest event for sports. Cultural events are also good. And politics and economics activities are less.

Hostel fees is 17000 per student per annual. Hostel infrastructure is good enough. And three students per room. Hostel have 24 hr water supply and filters for drinking water. And table and chair for each student.

Our alumni network is so good. And senior students are very helping people. They helping us in each and every small or big problems. Also in our college councillors are there for counciling of each and every student.

I got admission through the MHCET merit list I had got into Information Technology at KJ Somaiya Vidyavihar but preferred this college for EXTC, I opted for the college because of its infrastructure, excellent faculty and study material provided by them Along with a wide range of extra and co currricular activities

Our faculty is good and highly experienced. Also behaviour of each profeesor to students is friendly that's why communication and understanding is better. There is interview for qualifications of faculties.
