My Review

The college management is quite good overall. World class library, amity clinic, canteens, food outlets, stationary, grocery store, auditoriums, pool, playground, etc. are available free of cost for students.

The course of B. A Economics honors is theory and practical subject. The first semester is the basic revision of the concepts and past knowledge. There are theory as well as mathematical, statistics and econometrics. The practical subjects include Excel classes and Amity school of Economics also conduct compulsory research project every semester that is entirely research based. The Excel course and research projects help the students in becoming better professionals and being modern. Various career counselling sessions, visits to economic instituions such as RBI, etc.

The internships are optional in the second semester but complusory for every student in the third year. The placements take place in the sixth semester where several companies and banks for recruiting students. The opportunity for seating for placements is available to all and every details about them are circulated through emails. Intreseted students can apply for the company. The selection process is based on the merit as decided by company followed by an interview if selected in the 1st round. The highest package introduced this year is 15 lakhs per annum.

Santhan is a university event that celebrates the birthday of Founder or Amity University Noida; Ashok Chauhan. The university conducts a fest every year for 3 days with 3rd day as a star night. Every batch has their freshers and farewell party. A Military Training Camp(MTC) is also organized as a 1 credit course of every course. Many inter-institutions as well as university events are conducted throughout the course.

The fee structure is expesive. It ranges based on the course studied. The average fee for Bachelors in Arts is 1. 8lakhs/year. The law department is quite expensive. The average fee is 3. 2lakhs/year. The fee increases slightly every semester and the security deposit of 10, 000 is complusory for every student.

The scholarship if eligible is provided during the online application form filled by the students. Eligibility is based on 12th results. Students having percentage above 80% are eligible for a 50 percent scholarship and above 90% are eligible for 100% schloraships. They also have to perform well each semester in order to maintain their scholarship every semester.

Amity univeristy is an anti-ragging university with every facility available for students. There are rarely any fires but if there is, the university has fire alarms installed and extinguishers in the hallways of every floor and building. The students face no discrimination in any sense. Gender ratio for students is quite equal. Facilities of labs and sports, robotics is also available. There are seperate labs and building for robotics. There are debate socities, competitons, etc. held each year several times.

The hostels are provided to the studenta that are of regions other than the Delhi NCR. There are Ac as well as Non-Ac hostel rooms. 2-3 students are alloted per room based on their course and day of enrollement in the university. There are several facilities for students such as Playing grounds, pool, television area, etc but there is no mess for hostlers, they have to but lunch and dinner everyday from canteen which are open till 10pm. There are different hostels for boys and girls. The average fee for Ac hostles is 1, 20, 000 per year and Non-Ac is 1lakh/year.

The freshers, current students and alumuns are connected through their individual Amity email IDs. Being an anti-ragging institution, amity has been always a friendly college. The seniors are friendly and helpful. The clubs include students of every year. The alumuns are often invited to events conducted by the university and fests that are organized.

I opted for Graduation in Economics honors in the year 2017. Its a 3 year course and to apply, one needs to fill an online application form and then go through a entrace examination followed by a personal interview by the course faculties. The interview is related to knowledge about the course and General knowledge. The institution also provides Scholarships to the students based on their merit.

Amity school of Economics have a head of department and several faculties, all exceling in the subject of economics. There are more female faculties than male ones. Faculties are often repeated in every semester. The faculties have individual cabins where they have there degress displayed and are easily approachable by students.
