Every college has their own good and bad side and I wish give positive remarks as I get to learn lot and lots of experience knowledge. which I don't think I will get this from some other place. gang of friends. University life is different from college life. you will have your own rules. you can go wherever you want and whatever you need to study you have vast departments and careers opportunitiez.

Course curriculum is quite good. As this is an integrated course you have to study for long period of 5 years on credit based system. For first 2years you will study subjects on physics chemistry and geology as hard core after that you will only study your dept papers. The subject your willing to do on your interest is considered as soft core. By the end of 5 years you should earn credits of 195 (all together hard core + soft core). Total 10 semesters. Each semesters you will have 2-3 internals and assignment submission/seminars for 40 marks in total then your external evaluated for 60 marks. (100= internals and external). For first 3 years will be studying your b. sc after tat people from diff states Will join with for m. sc(2years) by writing their entrance xam. Whom will be called as regulars. and the people studying for 5 years as integ students.

yes, but I didnt do internship. bht students from various colleges are doing summer internship at our department reasearch lab. Placements through campus interview is quite less. as students from different states were studying. even we they were placed in a company. they have to leave the job after a year or two. We mainly focus on ph. d and research work.

Feasible fee structure with free bus favility for students in puducherry. I was paying per year around 10, 000 for integ course. Not expensive for odd semester that is the period of june to dec 7800 and even sem that is the period of jan to may 2000.

I dont know about this. As I didnt acquire any of the scholarship or loan facility I am unable to answer this question. At first I got scholarship early for clearing all my papers without arrear. I dont think we are having that in our curriculum. This is changed now.

Dont have a clear view on it. But we have seperate stadiums and matches for cricket and football are usually conducted. And marathon programmes also conducted. Department for physical eduation is there where students are studying. Every department have their own labs.

A room 3 students accomodated. 5-6 girls hostel is there. For ug, pg combined and for research scholars seperate hostel. we have a common mess for ug, pg students and seperate one for scholars. In a year, two semesters you hav to pay seperately (14000+7500). This include mess fees but the hostel room fee. girls are provides with rooms free of cost. boys have to pay 1000 extra for room rent.

Yes, each department students are friend of friend to one another. All we connected through whatsapp group and some go to other states for higher studies and some go for abroad. they give us a clear view of future activities. As a fresher those people welcome us through fresher's party. and we give them a farewell party at their last year.

Sopcas is the school of physical chemical and applied sciences in pondicherry university. I wrote combined entrance examination for physics, chemistry and geology. After the results out, I went for counselling and I had to choose any one of the course on the basis of vacancy. And they asked us to submit Tc of 12th, marksheet xerox and OBC certificate. After paying the fees either online or through challan ( indian bank present within the campus) at the department, all procedures got over.

Each faculty has their own research lab and research students and all the 5th m. sc integ and 2nd year MSc regulars need to choose a lab for their project work on their own interest and need to submit their works under the guidence of the respective faculty. Which will be evaluated by viva voice by the panel arranged by the department.
