GIET Campus Review

Management was like showcase for publicity and to get admissions. Academics were poor at that time. I am not aware now how it is.

Personally, I like the infrastructure of the campus which is limited to entrance of the campus and there are 3 engineering colleges inside and the 2 colleges which at back of the campus are newly and half constructed when I was joined. Faculty are like our seniors who passed out from the same college. The examinations were held in a strict as invigilators were jumbled to other depts so that they don't like other department guys. But teaching wise there is no such strictness or knowledge at that time. Days were just passed and somehow we struggled on our own to get just pass marks and get out of that and as there is no subject knowledge gained, prefered to go into different career opportunities.

Sarcastically, I didn't even know what is an internship look like or interview seems like when I was student in this college.

This is the only thing can happen in this college. Every year a grand event calles Maitri will be held for 3 days and top celebrities will be attending. I remember like when I was in 1st year Musical event by film playback singers, Actress Andrea, Actress Samantha, Indian idol fame Sriram etc, In 2nd year Chiranjeevi, Sunil, Singers, Sivamani. Also many tech fests happens every year.

Fees are expensive and many hidden fees are collected, at that time when I was studied, this college hostel fees is expensive than any other in the city and that too there are extra facilities for abroad people and north Indians with much more expensive fees

I am not aware how it is now but at that time there are infrastructure available like labs, grounds etc but it was there common for all the colleges available in campus which is for around 8k people. They were like to showcase but we were never been taught of how production or lab tests were performed practically. It was like museum we were taken and shown the equipment but not functioning

Yes, I opted because it was first time I went out of hometown for studies and new to the city. So I don't have other option to stay and college is bit far from city and that is one other reason to opt even though fees was expensive

Everyone are like sheepherd, no idea of what's happening. Just went on with the flow and bought All in one guides to read before exams

I got admission in GIET College of Engineering through Andhrapradesh state conducted EAMCET exam in which I was qualified and got eligible rank to go through the second web counseling for the academic of 2010-2014 in Mechanical Engineering department.

As mentioned above, I don't how it is now but when I was studied, no professor had knowledge on what they are teaching because they just choose that career as they know this college and there are no opportunities outside the campus. So they did it as warmup for their better career
