Placements need to be worked on as it an institute of national importance, companies don't take interest in recruiting post-graduate students here.
Course Curriculum Overview
The Exam structure is almost connected to the core syllabus of the respective engineering stream. Every single concept will be available in your question paper related to stream, mathematics and aptitude are additional 2 subjects in GATE. The Exam is 100% fair, no doubt, as the conducting institutes are IITs, so we should rely on them.
Placement Experience
No internships for post-graduate students and mechanical stream. Professors are not interested at all in placements. They have no brochure of the department. If you are looking for an institute that provides you placement after 2 years, then this college is not for you.
College Events
Events are so good here. 1. The technical fest is very creative, so many renowned professors and research scholars take part in it every year. 2. Cultural fest is one of a kind at our institute, games, athletic, indoor games, outdoor games, dance, skit, and last but not the least, DJ night.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee is a little expensive but you will get Rs.12400 stipend monthly, so one can manage. If you get a hostel facility, then it will be more beneficial. Because hostel charge is Rs. 25000 for a year, including food and breakfast. And also convenient as you have to live inside the college campus.

Scholarships are not for Postgraduate students. They get a stipend by MhrD on monthly basis. Rs 12400. Monthly.
Campus Life
Campus life is so good, the ground is not so good but a very calm atmosphere and a railway station just behind the back door of the college. The gender ratio is 50 -50 approx. South Indians are more. Labs are in renovation mode. Robo race event is organized every year where students from throughout India participate.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel charge is Rs. 25000 for a year, including food and breakfast. And also convenient as you have to live inside the college campus. Only 10 percent of students can live in a hostel, the rule for Postgraduate students. The hostel is good and the food is moderate.
Alumni/Alumna
The Alumni network is so strong and wide. Alumni meet held from time to time every year. An alumnus from past batches is contributing to Golden Alumni Tower construction.
Admission
I appeared in the GATE examination organized MhrD, on qualifying which I was eligible for online CCMT counseling for NITs. Counseling comprises 3 rounds. Through which I got the respective institute. GATE exam forms are available in September month every year. The exam will occur in February's first week. Result in March first week.
Faculty
Faculties are good, some faculties are so weird. They have a long experience in their field with a lot of published research papers and conferences. But the problem is, they don't have industry relations which lack industrial exposure during the course.
