Despite being the one the best some procedures have to many bureaucracy. Rest the management is very good.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is updated every year and includes feild visits, live projects and social assignments apart from lectures and practicals. Also there are 36 clubs and committees which develop students according their choice of comitee. Also institute has tie ups with many international institutions for student exchange programs.
Placement Experience
In the first year everyone gets an internship. In second year everyone gets final placements also. College have 100% placement record.
College Events
All the 36 commites have 3 events annually. Hence there are almost 100 events goes ecery year on campus.But melange the annual fest is the largest event. Followed by yudh which is sports fest. Various conference including international, are organised every year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is annually 7.5 lakh. Which is good compared to other bschools in mumbai.Loan facilities are available for students. The fee structure is pretty transparent. But hostel and mess fees are 9n higher side when compared with other colleges.
Fees and Financial Aid
I opted for education loan from hdfc.After getting my admission offer,i visted HDFC barnch and git the loan.The college did refer the banks and other options available for loans.
Campus Life
Sports culture is very good in somaiya and the capus is lush green with full size football court.other facilities such as TT tabkes, badminton court, athletics track, squash court are available on campus.The gender diversity is 70 to 30,or 60 40 towards male.we also have some international students.
Hostel Facilities
Yes, hostel rooms are good. And cleaning is done on alternate days.The hostel fees are on the higher side when compared. Food provided is good but its pure veg campus. So nonveg lovers gets disappointed.
Alumni/Alumna
There is separate alumni comitee which delicately handles all the alums. Hence college have data alums and regular alum citi meets are organised by college in different Cities.
Admission
Shortlist is based on CAT / Xat scores and then followed by GDPI. After that merit list is declared. And we can choose courses and courses are allocated as per merit list.I choose PGDM core as it is the flagship course over there. The placements also are best for this course Also core is the only course in which the specialization can be decided in the second year.
Faculty
Most of the teachers are phd and having 10+ years of industry experience. Though some of them lack teaching experience. But Operations departments professors were very good.But we do see a polarity between teachers. Like some of them are absolute goads in their area and some can barely teach.
