Overall placement and academic is very good. The food also very good. But main drawback is the rules. If your a dayscholar it will not be a problem.
Course Curriculum Overview
Iam the student of electrical and electronics engineering.The college follows the anna university curriculum.The college has good knowledgeable staffs.coming to the syllabus it is not one of the advanced or oldest so it is in mid range.If you want to gain more knowledge you want spend your own time other than college time. Research driven subjects or teaching you cannot expect. Overally one of the good college with decent syllabus.
Placement Experience
Our college is well known for placement. Most of the students will be placed in any of the company. And also our college will arrange internship interview for our knowledge gain. Our college has good placement record in Day1. Most of the companies visit our college is IT companies. Example Infosys,wipro, cognizant,Mindtree, mahindra tech,codaglobal, hexaware,mphasis etc. Nearly 100+companies visit our campus for all departments. If you want job in IT sector this is the best place.
College Events
Our college conduct many events both technical and non technical. In technical events paper presentation competition,Mini project competition, code fest, innovative idea contest etc. In non technical events sports activities, essay writing, speech in both english and Tamil.Non technical events are not encouraged.
Fee Structure And Facilities
If you are a management category you want to pay some amount for donation after paying only your seat will be confirmed.If you are a counselling student directly you can confirm your seat in the college after attending counselling in anna university.Next stage is if you are a days scholar your fees structure is 1.15-1.25 lakhs. If you are a hosteller your fees structure is 1.75-1.95 lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid
No I didn't opted for any scholarships or educational loans. But with my friends experience scholarship is very easy to get because college will help regarding scholarship.
Campus Life
Campus Life is not as much happy. Because most of the time you will be in the class. So other than you will not have time to do other activities. If you have permission from your department you can do your interested work. Gender ratio is well maintained. Many companies sponsored labs are there. More importance are not given to sports activities. Many technical events will be conducted like mini project competition, paper presentation competition will be conducted and rewards will be given.
Hostel Facilities
Im not in the hostel but with my friends feedback I can say some information. Hostel has good and decent facilities and food also very good. One main disadvantage is you cannot use or possess mobile phones. If they found mobile phone with you. you will be vacated from hostel.
Alumni/Alumna
They arrange mock interview in final year. Mostly our alumni students come for conducting this mock interview. So alumnis are very helpful in sharing their experience.
Admission
As my college was one of the top institutions in Tamil Nadu,so cut off mark required is high.As my cut off is not upto the level so I cannot join the college in the merit based system.so I choose management level.For that I paid donation and got my seat in the college.I had started the joining process in April and seat confirmed within 3 weeks.so there is two admission process merit based and management.
Faculty
Nearly in our department has 25+ staffs all the staffs completed their masters nearly 15 had completed PhD. Overall college has near 200+ faculties. All the faculties are very initiative and interested in clearing doubts. Some of the faculties had industry experience so clearing industry related doubts is very easy.
