College management is good, but admission process is outdated as no option for online admission or registration for next year, no option for online fee deposit.

Khalsa College is autonomous college from gurunanak Dev University, Amritsar. Examination is conducted by college authorities, but the degree provided is from GNDU, for specific practical courses like bsc food science, bsc agriculture, bsc it. industrial information is provided, and industrial visits are organized by college and many companies like tcs, icici bank, wipro, etc. came every year for hiring candidates.

College is basically a degree college, in last few years some companies like icici, wipro, tcs etc visted for placement drives, and many students from bcom, Bba, Bca are selected for jobs. College don't do anything specific for preparation of interview or placement.

As the college is in Punjab, on the occasion of besakhi there is a great fair and cultural activities in college, tech fest is heald every year, ronak as youth fest week in celebrated every year, book fair held every year where books from diff. Religions to increase awareness about many things among students.

Fee for whole course is approx 2.2 lacs, which is submitted in 8 instalments in 4 years, 2 instalments every year one of 15000 and other of 40000, fee is basically feasible, college accepts only cash payment, there are no hidden charges in besides a security deposit of 2500 once along with admission fees.

College offers a scholarship for the students who scored 90% plus marks in semester exam, scholarship for students from backward casts are provided, almost 25% fee reduction is provided by college.

Campus is great full of trees and peace, there is great experience living in hostel, the ratio of girls and boys is almost 50-50, in extracurricular sports event is held every year, English society is there which conducts debates and presentationa time to time on current affairs.

Yes, i opted for hostel, there is capacity of 550 boys and 750 girls in college hostel, there are 5 hotels in boys hostel sec. Which includes 5 sharing, dual sharing and triple sharing room with a fee of 30000, 40000 and 45000 respectively. This fees is excluded from mess fee, which is 2200 per month and it is compulsory for every hostel resident.

There is no ragging in college campus, seniors are helpful, there are many noble alumnie from college like punjabi singer ranjeet bawa.

I want to do this course as i have great interest in food processing and food technology, i got admission through college private entrance exam, application fee is 1200rs in 2016, this fees is compulsory to give that exam, exams held in the month of june and result declaration occurs in one to two week, its a great institute running from several years and have a great reputation.

In my department there are total 30 lacturers teaching staff and 5 non teaching staff, out of them 10 lecturers are permanent which are teaching from almost 20 years or more and others are temporary lecturers, all the teachers are qualified phd in specifics and teaching the same, some lecturers have a long industrial experience.
