Average engineering college in Meerut

It's all about education, less extracurricular activities, more like a school.

The college follows AKTU norms as it is affiliated from the Uttar Pradesh technical University, 30% is the passing criteria in all subjects along with 75% mandatory attendance in class, college very seriously follows the university's guidelines with no exceptions.

The placement session starts in the final year of the course where 100-150 companies visit the campus for hiring.

Kolahal is the annual cultural fest which happens in the college where a star is called for the grand event, the fest usually happens for 3 days. Tech Spardha is a tech-fest with a duration of 2 days that happens annually in which you'll see a lot of engineering display and compensation.

The fee was the same as that of all the private engineering colleges in the region, the entire engineering course will cost you around 4.5 lac of tuition fee, hostel and bus fee are extra, but considering the fee is more or less standard in the region, it is a good and economic option.

Didn't opt any, but college does give scholarship to all girl students and merit holders. Good initiative by the college to promote girl child education.

The overall crowd at the college was good, labs were the best in the region, studies were nice. But college should focus more on extracurricular activities as that here in MIT is a little less. Students from the nearby villages are a mess sometimes but in UP, the west region the college has the best crowd.

No me being a local to the city didn't opt for any accommodation at the college level. But I had friends in hostel and I often visited there, the in house accommodation of college was average with all the basis things needed.

Alumni association needs to work on, college do alumni meet every year around Diwali but very few people attend.

I went to the college along with my all certificate and mark sheet, the pannel had a basic interview and as per my academic, the suggested me branches to join in. After evaluating all the scenarios I opted to go for civil engineering as my major for the engineering course.

There was a daily lecture for 7-8 hrs, you can always connect to the faculty by visiting them in their cabin during the free hours, the teacher was easily accessible along with all required studying material be it notes or the books from the library for reference.
