My experience on my college

If you have interest in hospitality industry this college is best for it.

Course and curriculum under our college is designed by NCHM in such a way that it is beneficial for any one seeking to join the tourism and hospitality sector. Apart from theoritical knowledge a perfect practical knowledge is imparted over each and every student under the aigis of well qualified teachers in an industry driven environment. Practical is given equal importance as of theory or even more in our syllabus as this industry needs more of a practical knowledge. This is the reason our students hoist our flag in international competition as world skills and all. It is one of the top priorities amongst the land marks of tourism sector to get recruitment as it is well known for it's excellence. This is the reason this college ensures 100 % placement every year. It's allumny are placed in almost every hotels and in tourism sector around the globe.

Every 3rd year placement is organised by placement cell of the college inviting the top names of the industry from around the globe in our college to take recruits. Proper interviews are organised and students get placement. Our college also ensures 100% placement of their students. Similarly in 2nd year internships are organised at various hotels around the globe to impart practical knowledge and work experience of the industry to a student. Students are free to choose their hotels or organise their self internship or they may ask college to arrange their internship to which they had to give interviews to get selected for a particular hotel taken by officials of hr division of the hotel. After that they had to do 4 months training as part of their course.

Our college celebrates each and every festivals apart from that regular camps are organised for food festivals and all. Annual day sports day are also celebrated. Many theme lunch are organised and parties are organised at the arrival or VIPs. Students are also taken for ODC at places like Rashtrapati Bhavan on occasion and are also get paid for that. Apart from that many events are organised by different clubs and societies of college arround the year.

Every year total fee expected is released on counsils website which remains there for whole course. Fee is taken on semester basis which means at the start of every semester you have to deposited fee of that semester. Fee is deposited online through net banking or through chalan paid at sbi. There is no additional fee apart from one displayed on list so don't worry.

I didn't opted one but there are different loans and scholarship program available by particular states for students whose information can be got from states website. As I'm from Bihar there is a scheme of students credit card available.

Hostel life is really good as I got friends who are leaving in hostels and for once hearing them I some how thought I may had got one. Btw hostellers get a good quality food and a part of course they got to prepare food for themselves. There is a volleyball court basket ball court table tennis badminton court tennis court park available inside the college premises. They got to celebrate each festivals in the college and college organises different events for them also.they also have the access to college wifi.

No I didn't opted for one as availability of my relatives home near the college. College provides separate hostel for girls and boys equiped with all facilities. As the seats are few one have to apply for it during physical verification at institute and allotment of hostel is purely based on the ranking and availability of seat. Hostel room comprises of single occupancy and triple occupancy rooms priced differently. One who don't get hostels need not to worry as rental and pg are available in radius of 2 km from college at rate varies from area to area. It is on person thoughts whether he wants a sharing room or single room as sharing room costs less.

Alumni of our college is placed at top positions in hospitality sector which proves very helpful in placement and our study.

As known Tourism sector is one of the most acclaimed sector in today's world filled with a whole lot of opportunities.IHM Pusa is one of the best hospitality Training institute in the country offering many courses to students under the mentor of NCHMCT New Delhi working under Ministry of tourism Govt of India. Due to my Interest toward cooking I thought to do this course for which I had applied form of NCHMCTJEE. This is the exam organised by NCHM to take admission in various IHM and SIHM in country. Form is filled online in month of Feb every year and exam is scheduled in April. Exam is online consisting 200 questions from 4 sections i.e, English Service aptitude Maths and Reasoning Forming a total of 800 achievable marks and also consisting negative marking. Once the exam is cleared counselling is organised at various IHM in which colleges are distributed amongst students on the basis of their choices filled online on counselling website and of course their ranking and availability of seat in that particular college. Then physical verification and acceptance of seat is done by student at alloted IHM or SIHM and classes commence merely from july. I had choosed IHM Pusa based on reviews and it's being no.1 college across India for Hospitality and tourism Study working since 1962.

Our college faculties are one among most qualified and well trained and experienced teachers related to this subject around the country. Most of them have the experience of at least 5 years in industry and some of them also have the experience of more than 10 years. Our principal is also the allumnous of our college. Apart from normal teaching our college also organises guest lecture given by the renowned names of the industry from the country or around the globe. Our teaching faculty comprises of seniour lecturers hods of subjects assisted by a no of lecturers. To be a teaching faculty in our college all teachers have to qualify Hospitality teachers test and undergo teaching training. They are very cooperative and are aware of techniques to impart knowledge in students. They make learning more fun be it theory part or practical part. They are always open to our doubts be it in college or outside of college.
