Remarks

I must a pretty average looking management. As the management not only handles this institution but a ton technical, medical schools all over the country.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

As far as the course curriculum for Electrical and Electronics engineering goes, it is groomed over state university curriculum keeping in mind that the graduate will be more industry ready rather than the former. I mean, I would say better designed than other institutions considering student intellectual level. I should say exams should be conducted by different authority or specialized faculty, as of now it looks more like hokum.

Placement Experience

5

As I can see, about 98% of the companies that visit the campus are IT or the job profiles they are considering is IT. same goes to internships.About the recruitment drive, there's nothing much to tell, as the representatives from respective companies visit the campus, conduct a preliminary test and 2 or 3 more interviews based on the job. About 60% of the students get placed. As I can not reveal the company names, but a lot of them visit(about 125-150).Institution does provide some basic level training.

College Events

5

There plethora of technical and non technical communities which conduct a ton of festivities in an academic year. LCC(linux campus club) and SJCE Editorial board are the important ones. You'll be impressed by the activities, some look interesting, rest look just an financing game. I must say this SJCE ED board is a very good one. And Jayciana the college yearly festival at the end of academic year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

When I was studying the fee structure was about INR 40,000/year for government aided courses and about INR 70,000 for unaided courses who entered via K-CET.But now the institution into an independent university, the fee structure is altered. College accepted fees through only DD and challans. College provides fees breakdown in their receipt.

Fees and Financial Aid

Govt of Karnataka does provides fee concision and food, accommodation for those who are financially weak. I availed the fee concision (19000 each year), which requires a lot of work by my side and each year to renew it.i.e to upload ton of documents online and a lot of xerox copies.

Campus Life

4

Considering just approximation, gender ration is almost 1:1, so almost equal in numbers. Scholars from different parts of the state, country study/ied here.It is not a culture or religion biased institution, so there is no thing as discrimination here.

Alumni/Alumna

Except the Email group of alumni there no such thing so that you can get in touch with the alumni. So no on this aspect.

Admission

I got admission through K-CET 2015. You can also get in through COMED-K, JEE-Mains(AIEEE formerly) or a management entry. Admission through K-CET is pretty straight forward where you pay to KEA and after that some fees for college while admission at college. I considered this course as I had interest in physics and mathematics and have opportunities in broad spectrum.

Faculty

4

Apart from few good and very good teaching faculty specialized in their fields, rest are just headcount ( can't complain as other institutions at this level).About 35 lectures each week, I can say a balanced one. And as I already said about the teaching faculty, you can pretty much estimate their expertise in content delivery :)
