Charu's Review On Jagan Institute Of Management Studies - [JIMS] Rohini, New Delhi

This college is very near my place also it has a very good ranking and placement scenario. College is at the best location, it has metro connectivity which is just at a walking distance of 2 minutes.

There are many specializations that college offered so as per my cut-off I am eligible for all the offered programs. IN 2013 I have started with the PGDM program which has dual specialization and I have opted for MArketing and HR. I have done with 2 to 3 industrial visits then I got selected in BOB main brach as a trainee for my summer internship in between i have attended many seminars, did live project which had a stipend also. Explore many good things with friends which is like a golden memory to me, College does provide us with many events where we can participate and enhance our capabilities. I was a placement coordinator and contacted with so many recruiters. In 2nd year we have many guest lectures which were taken by industry experts. After1.5 years of my journey with JIMS I got selected for BLUE STAR Company as an HR Trainee with a package of 5 LPA.

I got selected with Bank of Baroda's main CP branch and it was provided by college only. There I got to know the gist of all the backend work and after some time they shift me to the import-export department. so overall it was a very good experience.

JIMS has an altogether different placement cell which looks after the summer placement, live projects, and final placements of the students. JIMS Conduct mock GDPI's which help the students to know the current scenario and make them ready for the final placements. JIMS invites those companies which offer good profiles and with a strong alumni network, companies usually come on there own as they know the student's scenario. JIMS has its own incubation center where they encourage their students. there are many students who started their businesses with the help of this incubation center. JIMS conduct a pre-alumni session for their current students so that they got to know more about the inside company scenario, growth of the company, how it works, etc.

JIMS has one annual fest by the name VERVE where they used to call celebrities, it's a two-day fest where many colleges participated and many events conducted. apart from this fest, JIMS used to celebrate all the festivals with their students and conduct many intra college programs to enhance the students and build competitive energy in them which actually makes them ready to compete for any where in the future also.

When I gave GD/PI round on that day there was around 150 candidates with whom I have to compete. In one GD round, there were 10 students and 3 panelists were there who judged us on the basis of our current knowledge, speaking skills, attitude, appearance. there is no elimination round after GD I gave PI round where there were again 3 penalist who grill me with lots of questions and I was able to and 60 to 70% of them. And after few days I got the result and shortlisted for the PGDM Program.
