Review of SMVDU

Overall my college is good, but due to some disturbance in Jammu and Kashmir region, many students from rest of the country are not enrolling more these days so i hope our government and management take steps so that they can again start enrolling in this college, which makes a good environment in my college

My course is based on practical as well as theoretical knowledge. I have done many industrial visits during my course like Dabur in Jammu and Mondelez ( Cadbury) in Baddi Himachal Pradesh. I have also done research on one of the topic of my supply chain management subject which is scope of supply chain management for fruits and vegetables

My batch strength was 60 and 50 of them got their placement from the college placement. The process was simple our placement officer arrange the company visit on our campus and then 3 steps in the process as, 1st is paper 2nd is group discussion and then personal interview. I have done my internship in Oyo in business development team. Some Companies which came to our college are- ITC, mahindra first choice, mahindra logistics, Waterhealth, icici bank, hdfc bank, icici prudential etc

Technical fest- TITIKSHA Management fest- TATVA They are all big events and many different colleges from the northern part of our country came to participate like jammu University, dav College, ptu university etc These events give us a good exposure by interacting with new students

My total expense of 2 year course was around 6 lakhs. It consists of mess, hostel and academics Yes all is very transparent and online also Our fees consists of main 3 things like academics, mess and hostel. And for the books we have access to our library from where we got our books of the course

Yes my college offered scholarship on merit basis like score of CAT and MAT 75 Percent fees waiver if student got more then 95 percentile

In 60 students class we have 36 male and 24 females. We have students from different parts of the country with different religions and we all enjoyed our college life very much. We enjoyed Alot in our college canteen and in evenings we also played basketball ball, lawn tennis, and cricket as well

I got single room for our pg course, and we have mess in our pg itself with watercooler and purifier installed. Our hostels also have 24 hr electricity connection. And the food which we got is of good quality and quantity, we got breakfast, lunch evening snacks and then dinner

Yes our college organise alumni meet once in a year where we can interact with our alumnis and they help us in many things by sharing their experiences and also helped us in placements

I got admission for the course of master's in business administration by giving an entrance exam followed by interview and then merit list. Starting date of the process was april 2016 and i got enrolled on 1st August. And then my classes started on 1st week of August. Why i choose this college- because this is near to my hometown and it is one of the best University in my state Jammu and Kashmir.

My course is of 2 years, with 4 semester in it. My faculty average age was around 40-55 years And they all are from very good experience history and also good in clearing our doubts. We can directly contact to our faculty on their numbers if we face any problem. We are also alloted with mentors also which helped us in our course
